Sequel to beyond Oasis...another game with killer graphics, music and gameplay. I wish games like this were still being made proactively.

Yeah... so this game is a prequel,not sequel,is a part of the story before what happen in the first game,so the big orange cube under the castle is where agito's spirit is trapped like the king say.

How/why did that kick at @14:31 hit so many times/do so much damage? I guess if Darkwill is immune to staggering that could explain it. Anyways Darkwill, Bludgeon, and the Ghost Egg/Screamer are some of the coolest boss designs of all time. If I ever get into game design I'd love to make a game just like this. So much nostalgia lol

Woah! What an improvement over the Genesis version!!! Holy crap!
This is sad, the music wasn't as good as the one on the Genesis, I'm not sure of the direction it took, it sounds better, but the compositions lack some soul. Also the gameplay has been simplified in favor of less inventory management and... no world map. I did love to stack cheeses and fishes and special weapons. That was a very decieving sequel. Only the graphics are better, but it's expected from a console following the 16bit era.
The graphics are technically better, but this game has aged incredibly poorly compared to the elegant pixel art of its predecessor. There's some truly ugly modelling on display here, as well as some wonky effects. Beyond Oasis remains beautiful.

Even though I never played I was a huge fan of the first one it looks kind of off but when I think about it it's time that it came out it does seem to have good graphics like really good actually just the gameplay seems kind of odd to me maybe I just takes time to get used to because all I see is good comments about it

This ain't your grandfather's Oasis. I tried this a while back and found the dungeons more difficult to navigate than Beyond. Harder to infer height and distance.
P.S. Watching Ifrit beat on the poor guy, I wonder if he ever thought of things from Ghost Egg's point of view.
