  • This is the hydrotek water sprinkler control unit. I needed to set up the timer on it because it wasn't working. I went on a little discovery/research myself to get to the bottom of it. Here's what I learned.

They also become brittle and break off easily. Good luck!

    How did you wire it

Fortunately the wiring was already on there for me. I did not have to wire it. Just the timer was not working for me. Good luck!

I do nolt believe you told your viewers that the time wheel turns clockwise to set it but the Day wheel must be turned counterclockwise.

Yes, I definitely forgot. It took some studying and looking up close to see how this system worked. Gotta love the diys. I learn a lot and enjoy them. And when I can I try to post videos to see if it helps others. Thanks for the comment. It should help the viewers.

I found my trigger fall lower than the pin so when the pin come it can not push the trigger back. Any recommendation?

I am guessing you have already checked to see if the pin is pushed all the way in. That was one of the problems I saw. The other problem was that the plastic pin get brittle over time and the broader end had chipped off and the trigger wasn’t able to connect. My recommendation would be to try with a pin that looks the most intact (new). You should also be able to hear ticking sound which is an indication the timer is working. If the trigger is really too far to reach the pin after all above have been ruled out, then you may have to improvise to lift the trigger. I know these things aren’t cheap if you have to replace so good luck fixing it.
