RKGK / Rakugaki is proving to be an excellent debut adventure from Wabisabi Games that I hope reaches more prospective players through word of mouth because there's already noticeable platforming goodness right from the get-go.

Responsive developer(s) - a good sign
This game looks like something I wouldve went insane for when i was 12
God there’s too many games to play. My wishlist is becoming bigger than my Steam library.
at this point games could stop coming out for the next 5 years and I still wouldn't be able to finish my backlog
It is kinda nice though to always have something to look forward to playing instead of dreading and ranting about every mainstream AAA being garbage.
That's why I'm glad that I'm such a picky gamer. Over 90% of games don't interest me. But that's fine, it saves me time and money.

This feels like an early/mid 2000s game for some reason
As a platforming fan, that rail grinding looked painful, it's so slow and nothing is really going on, still looks like a great game though

Looks amazing, like if the first Tony Hawk games focused on their platforming elements.
I wonder if the odd inclusion of rail sections is a nostalgic carryover from the dev playing Sonic.

the music of the game can be heard on the title card intro part, and when the gameplay runs at the end, when the narration is going on, that is not the in game music.

This could be Sonic game if Sega put more love & care into it.
