Phenomenal chassis design! Most buying from this industry have no clue what they are sitting in but it's not even close to this in design and strength.
What I like is that Robby and his team are taking their time to get things right. I would much rather see it done that way instead of rushing to get the cars done to satisfy impatient customers and then seeing a bunch of failures and recalls. Kudos to Robby and his excellent team for taking as much time as is needed to do it the right way. As the old saying goes, good things are worth waiting for.
Thank you much Robby for this episode as well as Gingers invoice information. Very much impressed with the El Jefe setup, truly a bad ride! Both my wife and I are looking forward to our order in the 3rd quarter. Know it was meantioned in another episode how much weight can be towed with the El Jefe as well as on the roof rack and bed, thank you and God bless Team Speed!
Another great show thanks Speed. Thats great cooling fans for the belt as you know heat kills belts. Thanks for thinking of us Glamis guys for keeping belts cool. Things are coming together and thank you for deciding to focus on production vs racing as we all want our cars asap.
I read that there are almost 10,000 cars with deposits on them. That would mean you would have to produce close to 30 cars a day. What do you see your production output being once you are in full production? I may look at selling my CanAm once there's a reasonable time frame to purchase one. Thanks.
40 cars per day I think is what they were saying ...its somewhere on there FB page. Truly I think that is unrealistic and it will be more around 15-20 for the first couple of months and see where it goes from there
Thats a whole lotta hand TIG welding done one at a time on a fixture. Is he ramping up to some kind of an automated production line? Pretty huge under taking with ground up engine developement and all. Will definitley keep Can Am and Polaris on their toes!
4 seat chassis is looking good! Tonight's video is starting to feel like things are getting close. Rear seats are just big enough for a 6' man, which I think is ideal. Maybe 1-2 more trips in my RZR and I might have to put her up for sale since my Speed is getting close...
Hey Nick, did you happen to see last week's vid (episode 41) where Robby and his engineer talked about rollover tendencies and why the Speed design is superior? I found that discussion to be very helpful. I was planning to buy a new 2021 RZR Turbo S4 Dynamix this coming spring, but the more I watch these vids by Robby and the more I learn about the Speed cars, the more I find myself liking the El Jefe. I'll bet you are really looking forward to receiving your El Jefe. I will be very interested to hear what you have to say about it after you have some miles on it.
@@pecanpie100 Yes, I watch them all. Thanks and I plan on driving it in all conditions to relay my honest feedback. I agree the design looks to be far superior but we have to drive it to see, and "rollover tendencies" is something that's hard to compare. On my RZR Dynamix you can a ton of control due to the adjustable settings, it's a technological advantage I'll be sad to give up but I think the Speed will be a great car. I just ran my RZR in "firm" mode in Glamis as we had 4 adults and camera gear, so with a flip of the switch I had so much more bottom out support and less rollover, which is just a cool feature.
single shock for all 4 corners and all models is a huge plus... Look at can am... nearly ever trim has a different type of shock and on each car the front and rear are the same... They are also not some random off the shelf Fox product, so Fox has to produce them in very low quantities. This is great for economies of scale.
Anyone know cross tube size behind the seats? 1.5 ? Looking to get the S&B particle separator for helmets that will sit there and I’d like to get them when they come into stock. TIA
Jose: I know that you posted your question a year ago. If you haven't already gotten the answer, I can tell you that the horizontal crossbar that runs behind the two front seats is indeed 1.5 inches in diameter.
When i first saw the sand sport version i was like ehhh its an xx with robbys race parts for 15 more g's. Checked back in march was like ok hes building a stronger version with all new stuff and looks nothing like the xx. Then july came around and was like if i ever wanna get my hands on it, i better get the rg on the pre order price. Kicked around the idea for a couple weeks then pre ordered one.
this car brakes my heart since i do not have one in my shed or on my trailer to take out and play with. but i must wait for the day that i can get one it might be the day i get my identity back.
So awesome the wife and I can’t wait What are the chances of getting hard copies of the cad drawings from the presentations ??? Thank you , doing awesome job !
I’ve been in manufacturing/modification of aircraft for 20+ years it’s always cheaper for you as a manufacturer to fix an already exhausting product pick your pony and go.

The chassis will be machine mig welded and this is a factory production built car. This is not a one at a time hand crafted car.

Can't wait to see the SPEED UTV at DAKAR 2022 next year 👍
Bad ass Robby! Can't wait! 🤘
Nice car. question.. You mentioned the rear trailing arms are universal left and right. How will that work with the one heim on the outer side.?
The trailing arms are the same left and right you would just flip it over.
Is 6 months when youll have race support or when production will start?
Do the side windows roll up and down on the enclosed cab

If there is a bearing on the front side of the primary and secondary, then how do you change the belt?
They will be attached to the cover so when the cover is removed the belt will go on and off.
What is the expected weight of the 4 door model?
So awesome the wife and I can’t wait
What are the chances of getting hard copies of the cad drawings from the presentations ???
Thank you , doing awesome job !
How much is the weight on the different editions?
Will the car come with factory 5 point harnesses?
Yes

I wish you would just turn my machine it seems way easier for people to spend $20k on a $30k machine than pay $40 ish on a machine .
