I was just thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen anything from you in a while. Love it. Your videos are so amazing to watch. So thorough and precise with everything. Thank you Max.
Weather is being brutal these days, every weekend I want to go flying is cancel. VFR flying on this state of the bird is like using 512kb AT&T desktop of 1980is… Hats of to you , what ever you do is flawless and seems your situational awareness up to highest standards. Every time your takeoff and landing is picture perfect!!!
Nice to see a bizjet flying low level and VFR for a change. Thankfully for the people who couldn't escape, the weather didn't get nearly as bad as the forecast.
I live in Waukesha not far from the airport so this was awesome to see. Also, you can't see the bottom of those quarries that are just before 28 from the street so thanks for that too!
Glad you made it safe. I live in Wausau. Not sure if it was the same storms you're referring to but we did get slammed. Everyone did. Power outages, trees down, flooding, 12 confirmed tornados.
As a Piper pilot yes I’ve flown Citation Conquest’s and some of the small Citation jets years ago and your absolutely correct. It take awhile for the brain to ‘spin up’ to the new operating norms of jet operations. It’s just as dangerous going the other way aswell
That was some crazy weather but I am glad it brought some cooler weather and a nice time the next day. It was great hanging with you. Thanks for posting this video. AirVenture is such a unique experience especially form the jet perspective. NICE! Cannot wait until next year!
Great flight and most definitely a good decision on your part. I figured that would have been a lot worse trying to get out of there than it was. As always thank you for sharing this with us all and give Goose a hug for me please 😁
@@CitationMax I just happened upon the video from a while back where you had an A10 roll up behind you at TPA. My son flies A10s so it's one of my favorite videos of yours. Peace man. ps. If you're ever landing at VNC, please let me know. I'll come down and buy you lunch or just say hello. My office is only a mile away.
Boy that was a sporty flight Max. I’m amazed at the speed that citation moves at low altitude. I’m so glad you didn’t hit big bird. It wouldn’t be Sesame Street without him. By the way nice landing.. thanks for bringing us along.
You taxi'd right by where me and my dad like to sit and watch departures/arrivals at the approach end of 27 there! Be on the lookout next year for us waving
Great escape Max! I had a similar experience getting out Friday. I had planned to depart IFR, but the airshow went long and we missed our slot. Changing gears on the fly at Oshkosh is definitely stressful!
Hey Grant, Thanks dude! Appreciate it. Yeah it definitely threw a curveball. Never a dull moment at Oshkosh lol. Glad you got out safely! Hope to meet you next year.
i have enjoyed so many flights with you.....haven't been on one for quite a while now.....this one was great....thank you very much for taking us along Max! ..... i did some masters work at Oshkosh and lived in Beaver Dam back in the 90s
LOVE LOVE your videos MAx. They are so real; explicit, the sounds inside the cabin make it thoroughly enjoyable. The only thing I would add is some ground vids (as you leave and arrive/land). That would be icing on the cake! Otherwise well done!
As usual, a great video from Max. You are the perfect person to have sitting next to trainee pilots. Your calm demeanour is great. When I was learning to fly, I had three different instructors. Two of them had similar vibes to you, and it made me feel confident and relaxed. The third one often made me feel stressed out. Alway enjoy watching your videos.
You spend your entire flying career learning to “…Read back all Clearance and Hold Short instructions…”. And then you go to Oshkosh. They flip the plate over and give a completely counterintuitive instruction. Saying nothing seems just wrong. You know you’re not supposed to say anything but… Keep in mind that as a viewer, you wouldn’t have even noticed it if he hadn’t mentioned it prior to takeoff. So let it go. It wasn’t a frequency hogging read back anyway.
Max that was awesome. Bit of a different video today, watching 2RF fly VFR out of oshkosh was fantastic. Love to hopefully catch ya and cross paths with you one day!
Just found you lol. Learned to fly out of Wittman Field in Oshkosh. Remember that climb out from 27 vividly. Can’t wait to see you other videos. See you in 2022 OSH
@@CitationMax So here is a question. I usually don't mind flying but always had a small fear because I am not in control of the commercial aircraft. Does being in control make it much better overall as far as turbulence and weather is concerned? I just always imagined being at the controls made some of the nervousness go away.
Hey Max. I think that you showed good judgement to get out before the weather rolled in. Always great to ride along with you. I look forward to your posts. You are always the consummate professional. Safe flights always Max.
Have just come across this channel and even though I'm no pilot I really enjoy the videos. Really interesting to see all the things going on even if I don't understand them all. A lot around navigation I guess but things sure do look complicated on approach! Keep up the good work and fly safe
@@flexairz I heard from a geneticist that each variation will be worse. And that’s why The more people that are vaccinated the better. I’m no expert that’s just what they said.
Of 514 patients in Israel hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Aug. 15, 59 percent were fully vaccinated, according to an Aug. 16 article from Science that cited national data tracked by Israel's largest health management organization. Seems like a strong immune system might be the best protection against any variant. Of course we don't hear much about strengthening our immune systems or practicing other known healthy habits from the MSM or many private or government medical organizations. Plus, this so called "vaccine" isn't really one after all if so many are getting sick after being "fully vaccinated".
When you said that you had all that bad weather on the way I was surprised that you were going to an airport so close. I would have thought you would want to get a lot further away so there was no chance of catching any of those storms. Glad you got over there with little hassle.
"The more lights the better" Man, do I agree with that. My one and only corporate gig in a Beechjet: "We don't turn nav lights on during the day. It's expensive to replace those bulbs". Glad to be far away from that group of yahoos.
We left on Wed as well but had planned it from the beginning. We were engine start in the north 40 at 0800. The haze was so heavy we were marginal VFR at 3200 ft all the way to Platteville. Conga line was short at that time. 25 min engine start to take off role.
Thank you for the video. Glad you got her to safety. I storm report or chase in NW IL. SO was watching the storms on radar which are up to date with maybe a 1 min delay. Watched the tornado warning that happened just south of the field and the rest of the storms. Hope the family and you are doing well. Take care - be safe. Spin
Flying that low might scare the cheese out of the cows...
“Escape From OshKosh”…sounds like a great film! Off the ground before the green dot…that’s incredible! Thanks for taking us along Max.
Thanks very much for watching Peter! Appreciate it
Loved the approach into Waukesha runway 28 skimming over those rock quarries with their cliff face walls. Reminds me of the film Breaking Away.
VFR @ 3,500' in a business class jet. Don't see that everyday! Thanks for sharing. Glad you and 2RF are safe!

With all the stress that surrounds us, these videos take my mind away from it all. If only for a few minutes. Thanks for the ride along.
Max, welcome back! Cool to see the unique departure and VFR flight in the CJ3+. Not something you see every day.
Thank you! Appreciate you watching

VFR in a Jet! Must be so challenging at those speeds.

Sooooo Kool! Thanks for sharing and taking us along for the ride!
I've done that flight also. A scud run to KUES to get out of KOSH for weather. It was a fun flight. I did my private training at Waukesha.
Took me a little longer in a Mooney
Seems still a lot of aircraft were still parked there, hope they make it out alive and undamaged

God Bless you my friend! You are blessed to be able to pursue you passion with such vigor!
Thank you Robert! Take care and be well!
“You don’t read any instructions back”
2 mins later - **Reads back t/o clearance**
glad others noticed that as well!
Can probably blame the lack of cookies... ;)
No cookies in Wisconsin- beer and cheese curds
Clearances and instructions are different.
