We have come a long way from basic paper envelopes to boujee zipper envelopes. Cash envelopes are a great way to change and become more mindful of your spending habits. You can physically see that when the money is gone, it's GONE. Zip. Nada. ZERO. I can honestly say that this method alone has saved my family sooooo much money and I hope it can help you guys too :)

This is huge on my vision board this year. I just went to Amazon and found a much cheaper version at 12 dollars plus I got a little record Keeping inserts for another 13 dollars. This is how I know I'm getting old, my new years eve will be of me and my vision board and using this system. And I'm excited

Love the see through envelops, so true what you said about the debit card. I tend to hand it in like its nothing. But when it comes to cash I feel it
I found my Kate spade agenda a couple years ago, bought it just for the cash envelope system. The zip is so smooth and the quality is awesome.

I sold my kate spade planner because I just didn't use it anymore but the quality was wonderful! the zipper was so smooth... This makes me miss it!

I been doing this since i was like 4 years old,i also put in envelopes savings (in the bank also) but i have like a back up savings so if i use all the one in the bank i still have some backup, also very important i put money in envelopes for family birthdays, husband b-day, kids b-day etc..mother's day envelop, Christmas food and presents, also a "house" money envelope for when something breaks or i just need to get something for the house or even remodelling. ...i usually do this with the tax return money i fill in the envelopes so i can have a little more stretch during the months but i also save money every month.
I am starting my budgeting and cash envelope journey this year, so I'm pretty excited and glad I came across your channel. This video had me on the hunt for the Kate Spade Organizer! Luckily, I found a small boutique that had a couple in stock and was able to get my hands on it the next day. It's absolutely the cutest and I love the clear cash holders. That's my next purchase!

I think it's a good idea, this one is pretty. I used this method 50 years ago. I do think it would be much better, secure, to use non transparent zip folders. I would actually use it if each folder was colored. I would tend to put an envelope inside each zip compartment for greater privacy, security.
I just started to use the one you said it was happy planner. I do like it cause I carry my cards and my most use envelopes which is gas and food and thank you cause you gave me the Idea to put the plastic zipper bag. All the way back after my planner papers I put my checks . For me this one is great but before I would have wanted to try the kate spade one. Thanks video was great..

Myself live on budget as well. I pay most everything using mobile payment to make it easy to track my spending and record it into my Financial Excel File

I usually put my change in a coin bank, then I'll go to a local store once it's full and exchange them for bills
Grace Ignacio or you can even roll it with bank rolls and take it to the bank and they’ll exchange it for bills without taking out a percentage
You can put in in a jar and then change it into bills and repeat which you can use for savings
I using a coupon organizer but I will consider your agenda-wallet system. I recently go to envelope system and I can tell there is a big difference in my finances.

The concept of a cash envelope freaks me out because all it takes is for someone to break into your house and steal it, you lose / misplace it, your house or apartment burns down, etc and it's all gone.
You could always use a prepaid debit card if that is a big fear or yours.

I just use jars. One is savings and one is the challenge money. I push myself to get by a certain amount of time with a certain amount of money. at the end of the month all that is left goes to the savings. or like I change it to another currency so it's harder for me to just take it and spend it

I'm looking for a wallet like this! But I don't use the binders for cash, rather for receipts lol I still use cards because I get cash credit back, just got $30 from TJmax after I bought a furniture there. I love the removal binder, this way I can remove it when I don't need it, it can be heavy.

The idea sounds nice, but what is it for? I assume digital payment works the same way. Just turn down credit limits to the budget of the month, and leave minimal in chequing account. Then, i won't buys stuff If i don't have credit limits left and i am earning points or getting cash back for every dollar i pay.
Crystal Chen not everyone has credit cards to use and not everyone can use them without abusing them. The cash system is a way to prevent overspending as you categorize your finances, put in an appropriate amount for each category based on what you can afford and then once it’s gone, it’s gone. You can’t overspend.
Just use a monzo card u know how much your spending sorting out your finances helped me out big time :) so old fashion using cute bags lol all I have is a Rado card holder keep it simple :)
No, what you are contributing to is the ending of cash and therefore choice. Not a good thing.

TUnfortunately, this system probably works poorly in Sweden. It is a new law, now that forces Swedish banks to handle cash. There are several places that I cannot use cash at all. If you want to have a coffee or take the bus here, then card or swish is the only alternative.
Something similar is happening in Greece. You can use cash wherever you want but for tax reasons you have to spend a percent of your income with cards. I use different debit cards as "envelopes".
Myself learning good to math million , save money .. and bills , car gas , renting house, water bills, wedding dress , all. Myself thinking write paper bills math million dollars . 😗😗
I get the idea but for someone trying to budget you spent quite a bit on just storing the money all those late spade wallets organizers just saying lol
Charisse typically, what most people do is they start with something super cheap and then they save the money to put toward a nicer system through their budgeting.

E-wallet is surging in my country. I find that i can track my big spendings when use e-wallet for groceries, gas, and bubble tea. I can even track how often i splurge on bubble tea bc of this- and thus making me cut down on this bc now i’m mindful of the purchases.
