In this video, John Eliot Gardiner introduces BWV 106 ‘Gottes Zeit ist die allerbeste Zeit’ (Actus tragicus) composed by Bach in August 1707 for a funeral service in Mühlhausen.
This cantata was performed as part of MCO’s Bach Cantata Pilgrimage on the island of Iona in Scottish Hebrides on 28th July 2000, the 250th anniversary of Bach’s death.

The disk containing BWV 106 and BWV 249 is quite fantastic.
