I agree @Misty_Mountains1....very disappointing for a network and celebrity personality not to feel compelled to help him help more people. They could have donated at least some socks or underwear...something
They didn't pay for those tickets. They had those tickets to give away to promote the show and decided to use this segment to do it as an example of giving.

This show is only appearance. You choose to give away free tickets to patty on a segment like this while ppl are Homeless and hungry. Ok
This was a very tone deaf segment. His face during the giveaway said it all. That should not have been done during his segment.
I been homeless so I understand. People are homeless for different reasons. Some chose it. There are places that help the homeless. I went into a shelter 3 times. First I was leaving my home I grew up in. It was so many bad memories. I had 4 children. I had a garage sale. Got Greyhound bus and headed for Texas from Louisiana. I had visited Texas before. I went into a shelter. They help you with so much. My goal was a place to stay. I was there for about 4 months. They placed me in an apartment. I was there about 13 years until my girls became unruly. I told them if you can’t abide by my rules you can leave. They said “we’re not leaving”. Then I thought I’ll leave. Mind you I had lost my job car due to medical issues that I couldn’t no longer work. While one was sleeping the other one was working I packed my suitcases I left. Back to a shelter. At first I became depressed. I drank a lot. I never asked for anything. I saw the Ellen show. She was saying how she lost everything when she came out. I have brother and a sister that came to Texas after I left Louisiana. Not one came to see me. When you go into a shelter they have programs. To help you get back on your feet. You have a curfew. Some homeless people don’t want to abide by the rules. No can’t bring in food. They try to provide structure. Some prefer the drama and chaos. They wanna drink. They wanna do what they wanna do. Some have mental issues as I. I sought out mental health services. It was the help of Good Samaritan. Stranger’s that were there for me. Jesus cared for people who were homeless drunkard prostitutes. Those that were cast aside. He would find them but he wanted them to better themselves through his word. Jesus said make fisher of men. Don’t give a man fish 🐠. Teach him how to fish. Teach him to be self sufficient. I never give them money. You are enabling their behavior. Matthew the 6 chapter says “when giving your gifts of mercy do it in secret. Some like to sound the trumpet and broadcast what they doing. If you give in secret your father will bless you in secret. Do not let your left hand know what your right in is doing. Lot of people didn’t know the true meaning of that. It’s better to be anonymous. Some celebrities love to sound the horn. How they give millions to causes. Some rich people get it. They are anonymous. Nuff said.

Thank you, sur for helping the homeless. However, tickets to a Vegas flra how for a show viewer is not the equivalent or same category (disappointing) Some socks, shoes, underwear, toiletries donation would have been more relevant
