@@KeGLoB I mean, not complainig about Sol or anything, and maybe you are right, but, maybe is mostly because of me, but I don´t usually get wallbreaks that does more than 50% of damage, not sure if it is because I don´t use the good moves or something. And maybe the fact that I play Testament and Bridget has something to do too xd.
@@M-Trigger characters like Testament and Bridget were designed to do less damage than characters with shorter range or limited mixup options. Them and Sol got completely different game plan and winning condition thus the difference in combo damage
@@KeGLoB Yeah I know that, not complaining about those two not having Sol´s damage either, that would be crazy, specially Bridget. Is just that, even if i´ve been playing this game for years, the amount of damage that Sol can do, specially when having risk and tension going for him stills surprise me tbh.

Might have to catch him on the way down, in which case a charged bandit will beat it. But if not, this is THE counter. A quick jP would counter both if it's fast enough though. Will test this

I'm not sure what specifically you're asking. If it's the starting 3 seconds, Johnny crouched then did his dash under Sol. Johnny can't run and instead does a quick dash. The imput is either 2 quick taps left and/or right, or it can be set as a specific button if desired.

New to Guilty Gear, I have a question.. Why is Sol's damage so abhorrently high
An rush down character that lives up this his play style name. He does lack range somewhat when compared to other characters, however he also has a lot of tools to close the distance.
But, if you are able to keep him at a good stance or at a long range (cause you’re a zoner), he does falter a bit. However, if he gets you, cross your fingers you don’t die

I have 30,000 matches in Strive but Rating Update only shows 4,000 of them. Wtf man. Bullshit seeing these low level matches disguised as high level play.

pretty rough matchup for johnny, his buttons are way better at keep away but if he loses more than one interaction against sol bad man and if forced to deal woth sol oki he doesnt have many ways to get out. if he had one fast button like sol 5k or a dp similar to bridget (another set play character) he'd be a lot better, still top 12 just because of the insane mix ups he can do with tk mis finder and his looping guard crush pressure post wallbreak
he’s not shit but he’s not a top tier either. in this matchup it’s pretty much impossible to zone against bandit bringer and bandit revolver and he can’t set cards for oki because sol has a dp. plus he has slow normals and no defensive options. pepperysplash needs to pick a top tier it seems impossible to win in strive without playing a top 5 character
