Shout out to james for always doing time stamps in the description. Very easy to go back and find a piece i wanna rehear or skip right to a part when having time constrains. Youre the best brother
Pretty sure those timestamps are AI generated through YT and not his work

Really worth giving Credits for! I wish EVERY youtuber would do that for videos that go longer than just a few minutes! But sadly that isn't the case!
Impressed that Dutch had a 45-year career in the wrestling business. That is one heck of a resume.
Him and corny are lifers
Undertaker didn’t feel guilty for years. He felt guilty for days.
"Invader no like finish" Even as a Puerto Rican, I can't hold my laughter at Dutch imitating a Lation trying to speak English 😂😂😂 Love The Podcast!!
Always a great listen! Thanks Dutch & James
Dutch and James have the best podcast, bar none!
I like the enhancement of the forehead scars. Lol😂
EVERYONE had heard of Elvis in '77.
New Jack/Vic Grimes, The chokeslam. New Jack did that on purpose because of the ECW incident. He actually tazed Grimes and tossed him off, he was actually aiming for the floor. The ECW one happened because Vic did not want to do it once they got up there and He altered his body mid air to land on New Jack. This was all in a shoot interview with Kayfabe Commentaries. Jack explained it all. The 2nd one was actually a receipt years later.
Wrestling at the Chase would hold large venue matches at the Kiel Auditorium. Im actually from St. Louis and love to hear you guys talk about it ❤
Always enjoy Dutch and James

As a STL boy who grew up hearing how my dad used to go to watch wrestling at the Chase in the day I'm sorry you didn't enjoy you time. Understandable also in those days. Ty Dutch for coming anyways. Also all your appearances were the year I was born.
Hairy Old Bastiche? is that what that guy called Dutch. I loved his reaction. LOL.
Thanks guys I really enjoy the longer shows
Speaking of finishes, it may be unpopular but I hated the Uso's mania match. I thought they phoned it in and HBK had to of looked at triple h and been like seriously? They super kick each other in the face like 20 times a piece and kick out every time! Thank God he's retired. If that had happened then you have him go out and beat someone with the exact same move even if he did it twice what's the fans to be left thinking? The Uso's really suck at super kicks bc they did it both 20 times a piece and Shawn just did two and pinned the guy. Can we stop with the super kick craze? It's so stupid, it doesn't suspend belief anymore. Go outside and find someone and catch em off guard with a side kick to the face and see if they get up in five minutes let alone 3 seconds. Now do it 15 to 20 more times and if you're not in jail by the end of night for murder than you're awaiting trial for attempted murder of someone now drinking through a tube
Lots of ppl hated that match, don't worry you're pretty much right
They shit the bed. Neither is a potential big star.
Ooohhh, you got me, brother, you got me...
If you go back and watch right after Undertaker wins, there's a shot where Undertaker furtively glances at Hogan, as if to say, "Jesus, I hope he's okay...". You can also see Hebner check on Hogan and then yell at Undertaker, like "Wtf did you do!!"
Hogan was watching out for Hogan. He was scared of losing his spot
Yeah he was very canny, if amoral
He knew the belt was going to Flair in the rumble anyway. Ric Flair is the one who brought out the chair for the spot. He was fine 5 days later at Tuesday in Texas,
Anyone is his position would have done thw same exact thing and anyone who says otherwise is lying. You do what it takes to get to the top and you do absolutely anything to stay there. My family eats before yours.
@@deepblue8143 Yes, but a lot of them didn't. They just went with what the company dictated. Hogan had it figured out early. You need a company full of guys that will do what they are asked for every Hogan. Aew seems to be full of guys that won't work a program that they don't like, let alone doing the job. You can't do anything with that.
Dutch is a legend in Puerto Rico the best booker ever.
Please ask Dutch about when they train Kane in the Puerto Rico territory. He was super green at the time and they make him a super star.
another Nebulous broadcast gentlemen! Cheers!
Actually, the Undertaker was told just days later by Shane McMahon that Hogan's head didn't touch. Days, not years.
The way Taker and Paul tell the story Shane told Taker immediately that Hogan didn’t hit the chair, as he was watching on tv in the back. Taker then said he found out the truth days later from watching a copy.
Hi risk, no reward finishers are hurting wrestling
HAHAHA 25:06 🤣🤣🤣
It's April...get the Fall stuff off that shelf.
C'mon Dutch!
Just curious since the majority of the posters are fans, has Dutch ever talked about the original Dutch Mantell or Cal Farley?
Yes, a few times. Really interesting!
@@colectivo1 Thank You, Ill look for it..
Vic grimes had 2nd thoughts and wasn’t going to jump. New Jack said we’re going on 3 and jumped and pulled Grimes’ shirt ad snatched him off but seeing as new Jack went first and Grimes weighed 400lbs, he landed on top of Jack causing him to be blinded in one eye and a concussion. Jacks revenge was to throw Grimes off years later. Crazy. 😮
Skip Young was the name of the wrestler that Greg the Hammer said his eye fell out during their match in his interview with James.
The Chase Hotel and KPLR were both owned by Harold Kopler hence KPLR. I think they had studio facilities in the Chase
Early on it was a fine dining experience at the hotels grand ball room. Later, taping was moved to the kplr studio and it looked like any other casual wrestling venue.
Dutch was awesome. We traveled together some in Memphis and worked each other several times. I worked a Drunk Robert Fuller one night and had to basically hold him up the whole time as he was bitching and cussing about Sylvia.
Wrestling at the Chase ran for decades. In the beginning it was at the Chase hotel and was a dress up event. Over time it was moved to kplr’s studio next door. The studio show was a casual event.
Dutch used the hmx in mid South I think forward drop suplex
"You got me Brother" HH
Yes, they will sell the hell out of the kick out but they won’t sell the moves…
I find it amusing that the veteran heel has sensitive feelings. Keep up the good work guys.
Why does Dutch's camera move a little when he looks left?
Vince McMahon SR was the first of many guys Killed by His son . He had to go so JR could move on with his plans. He was sick but he had ever chance of recovering or at least a few years left, but abit of hurry up had Daddy gone .
Theres a youtube clip of taker on Chris Van Vliet show, it was a matter of weeks/months takers felt bad. Not years
I dont get why people dont understand the Hogan Undertaker injury claim. Hogan never said he hit the canvas. He said Taker had him stiff as a 2by4 and when he dropped him Hogans neck twinged which is totally plausible given Hogans injury history and it looks like he may have hit Takers legs instead of the Canvas.
Exactly! Perfectly said.
Someone please show me the quote where Hogan said Elvis was a fan of him. Citation. Where was it said?
It was supposed to be in his book he wrote (Hogan). But everyone who actually read it said it was not in there.
I thought the claim wasn’t that his head hit the chair, but it was how Hogan was held.
Not saying he was actually hurt.
At first it was his head hitting the chair, then a few days latter Shane McMahon showed taker the video and when he brought it up Hulk changed his story that Taker was squeezing his head to hard and it jerked his neck. according to Undertaker in a interview.
Hogan could have easily got hurt without his head touching. People don't seem to understand how the body works especially when it's two 300lb plus men going at it in the ring. All it takes is a slight slip due to sweat or miss timing something and there you go.
stadium inn has just or still is getting remolded and the TA is gone now also basr next to it is closed only stadium inn and asphalt seal plant is there
Complain to Vince that Undertaker is dangerous and should not be given the title or work with Hogan again.
It wasn't years, it was 3 days
Lawler would have been marginally more popular than one of those Elvis sandwiches with peanut butter, not Elvis. Let's get real here.
Oh jeez Vince and his stereotypes, can't believe Dutch was ever subjected to that.
No mention of tony atlas in that story either...
That thumbnail is disturbing
I love these shows but I'm afraid that Dutch is starting to lose it.
Yes
Sato is a truck driver. Maybe retired
I don't 100% agree with Dutch on the heels not having finishers I've been watching wrestling since 1984 and every heel that I've ever seen has had a finisher Ric Flair had the figure 4 Tully Blanchard had the slingshot suplex Aaron Anderson had the gourd buster and Nikita Koloff had the Russian sickle and he was a heel before he was a baby face the Midnight Express had the Rocket Launcher and the Vegematic, and the Hart Foundation while they had Jimmy Hart is their manager their finisher was the hart attack will always was the heart attack but they were heels before they were baby faces. And there were some heels like Buddy Landel was famous for not using his finish and his finish was the corkscrew elbow
James I believe Taker said it was only 2-3 weeks. Someone showed him the video and Taker got pissed and confronted him and Hogan backpedaled. He saw Taker had the title and was worried he was the next big thing and cried to Vince he was unsafe. I forget who it was that showed him the tape.
Shane McMahon
Hulk Hogan would lie about ____ because the day ended in Y.
How original
Hogans head didn't have to touch for his neck to jamb which it did. Hogan was clearly out of it and spent 2 days in the hospital. The constant Hogan bashing is so old. He's the greatest of all time and its not even up for debate.
Hell yeah new book coming! Please get a classic pic for the cover and a current for the back. I love the previous books but we need a modern cover. Love the show
It DID mess with Taker for awhile, but it was a lesson learned about politicking in general and Hulk Hogan in particular. He was threatened by Taker bc he was younger, and bigger than Hogan and he was petrified of losing his spot.. Also, according to Lawler, in mid 77, he'd talked with Elvis' father about Elvis coming in for a 'King vs. King' angle. Elvis' father said he spoke with him and that Elvis 'loved the idea' and said he had to get in shape which he planned to do after his next tour..which he died right before he started.

Both sad and disgusting to see the scars on the foreheads of some of these wrestlers as a result of”blading”, because of the “red makes green” policy of the business.
That's their choice.
Every forehead tells a story in wrestling back in the day
