I have quite a lot of Wrestling Programs from the Paul Boesch/Houston Texas Territory starting in 1970 and running through 1979. The first listing of Dutch is Friday January 27, 1978 vs Barry Orton. It was a double main event. First main event was Baron Karl Von Krupp vs David Von Erich. Second main event was Brute Bernard vs Alberto Madril. I am proud to say I saw Dutch Mantell in the ring 46 years ago. Hard to believe it has been that long. Fabulous show!
Stevie is a different area and he's good. however I am old school 70's/80's fan and Dutch is my fav!

Being from Tennessee, I think you guys have the best slang in the world.... I've been calling people "knobs" and "bell ends" for years now and they just look at me confused...😂😂😂😂
I think it would be really good to have more of Dutch commentary on his or any old matches just like we had here with video, very informal, doesn't need to be scripted or in depth, just like we had here off the cuff from his memory it would make for an incredible series of videos.

Two indie promotions "Poww Entertainment"( Illinois) and "UWE"( Michigan)have been working together for over 10 years and it's great they have also worked with other promotions doing "invasion" angles it would be so much cooler if more promotions worked together....

I wonder if people actually keep score of rivalry win/loss records between individuals.
Consider how many rivalries have the heel getting win after win after win over a face, but that face just wins once at a PLE or a PPV and its over.
So the heel has like 4, 5 , 6 wins and the face has 1. Just one.
That is what WWE does nowadays and most of it is just TV show heels berating and beating Faces and the PLE's are just where the storylines go to die OR be platformed into another story.
Weeks, MONTHS of story, simply end with 15 minutes if ONE in-ring match.. and both side say ' yeah, we're good.' and move on??
That wasn't even how WWF did their matches and nowadays all of it is dull boring and the same schematic for 2 decades. Heck the whole Bloodline lost what.. 4.. maybe 5 times TOTAL?
How many times did they win? Just count how many title defenses Roman ACTUALLY had? The Idea of Roman was better than the actions of Roman.
Just something to point out as Ive been fartin around at wrestling data base and seeing some very interesting facts about wrestlers in general.
Did you know, R Truth has WON more championship titles than the top 3 wrestlers combined? He has won more titles than Hulk, Ric Flair and Cena combined.

Me and my best friend saw A great wrestling show in Clarksville Tennessee in our Highschool basketball gym in 1983 ! It was such great entertainment ! There were a lot of girls there from my School, Clarksville High School, to watch the Rock & Roll Express ! The main event was Tommy Rich against maybe Moon Dog Spot ! My classmate, dont wamt to mention his name, because, when Tommy Rich was going through the crowd to get to get in the ring, he got in Rich's way and grabbed his arm saying ( you are nothing but a #*"+&*@ !!!!!!) Tommy Rich picked him up and body slammed him on hardwood floor !!! Rich then made his way to the ring and put on one hell of a Wrestling Show !!!!! We picked up our classmate, brushed him off, and watched the R&R Express win in the Co-Headliner Tag team Championship !!!! So much Fun ! I saw a WWF match probably 10 years after that in 1993, and i would rather see the stars of Mid-South Wrestling thsn a lot of the So called Big Doggs !

Regarding Barry Windum ... I don't think he was physically out of prime, but he was mentally burned out in a Fed which had degenerated into nothing special. He was made champion in hopes of bringing fans back and/or rejuvenating WCW ... but it didn't work.

AEW is boring because there isn't a story attached to anything. They just spam confrontations and run ins. The matches are good, but once they're done, they just move onto the next.
I would like investments and moments. While you critique WWE, they create moments. Bron Breaker has moments, Dominik Mysterio has moments, LA Knight has moments, Logan Paul has moments, even Damien Priest has moments.

If this was 2020 or before you would be right. But ever since triple h has taken over WWE has, viewership wise, rating wise, and money wise, been at one of its best periods right now. And I along with many other fans can say, some of the best tv you'll ever watch. At least when it comes to wrestling.
Now I can't say anything about AEW cuz I'm unable to watch it. But saying WWE is a yawn fest at this very moment is just flat out incorrect.
