Red Winged Blackbird Launch

One of the spring staples is seeing local field-based Nature Parks having their cluster of Red-winged Blackbirds arrive. Their calls are unique, and easily identifiable, and their usual dark colors have them standing out against the usual field colors of green and yellow.
While the females are a standard brown, the males with their jet black and flashes of red easily draw the attention, but they can be flighty and frenetic as they feed off the new field growth and move off to the next area, seeming not to want to stay in one specific area for long, but staying within a larger general area.
Was lucky enough to capture one of the males taking off from a stationary stalk to rejoin the larger cluster in the area.
