I personally hate Walmart because of their ethics, but there's no denying what a helpful resource they are to the population at large. This video is an excellent example proving that you can be vegan pretty much anywhere in North America and do it affordably. 👌🏼
They even sell Hampton creek ranch and other dressings online! Which I have resorted to after the target fiasco lol that's the most American thing I can think of...buying ranch dressing online through Walmart 😂
What's the issue with Walmart? (I don't live in the US)
They don't treat their workers well; very very long hours for not enough pay; no benefits, etc.

Dang your walmart is killing it on the vegan food selection. Canadian walmart only carries some yves but thats about all i have seen. I want those pizza pockets!!
Thanks for posting this. Many of us are in fly-over country with limited store options. We have Walmart, a regional grocer, and a food coop. We just got our first Trader Joe's in the fall. It's great that you show people what they can get without having a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's (and a lot cheaper, too!).
calendarpage I still have to travel to TJs. Ive never been there yet It’s about 15 minutes away. The city I lived in earlier this year has a vegan restaurant and a Whole Foods. I didn’t care about eating healthy then or else I would’ve taken advantage lol.
It was a super healthy town.
And then there’s me: an obese chick who was addicted to Chinese, fast food and pasta. I’d drive out in a blizzard to get McDonald’s. They didn’t even have a Walmart. That’s how classy it was lol.

There are definitely zombies in Walmart. Whenever I go in there, which is rare of late, I feel like I’m betraying someone!
your Vegan products are cheaper then what I pay for them here in Canada and our walmart here hardly carries alot of Vegan options and I wished they did

Try to remember that not all walmarts are created equal I can't get over half of these products in my Walmart and they won't order them from the warehouse because their warehouse doesn't Stock them
Heather Tipton My Walmart doesn’t have Beyond Meat which is what I went there for today. However there’s a supercenter one about 10 min away that apparently does have Beyond Meat. So yes it just depends on the market and clientele.
I have 3 walmarts within a 12-18 mile drive from me and none of them carry the majority of the products shown in the video.
Publix & target usually has more vegan stuff then walmart

Every time we visit the states (We're from Canadia) we always try to go to the Walmart in Minneapolis and stock up on food.
Last time coming back we had a huge cooler full of Morning Star and Quorn. (Both can't be bought in Canada)
Just showed this to wifey and starting to make a list of All the stuff we need to buy on our next adventure.

I hope down here in Mexico's Walmart we have so many options soon, mainly in ice cream and yogurth.. But frankly this scarcity oblige us to be creative and do it ourselves... Hugs from Mexico zombie!

I love when vegan CZcamsrs do these Walmart videos because I live in a small town and only have Aldi and Walmart. I shop for vegan food at my Walmart all the time and I just wanted to let you know that not all Walmarts have the same products. I can't get vegan yogurt at my Walmart and they just started carrying one vegan cheese (not one brand but one vegan cheese from one brand), also the freezer section at your Walmart was way better than mine.
Aldi's is next. Just have to edit it.

Almost fell of the chair laughing at that final comment! Was not expecting that.
Check our the international aisle around the soy sauce and stuff...they have these sea weed snacks in 3 different flavors, a crispy rice roll that's kind of like a rice cake but 10 times better, and some chewy ginger lemon candy, all vegan. I try to avoid Wal-Mart but there are somethings there that aren't too bad.
Walmart is pretty good about having the gardein in even the most remote, unvegan places in the country.
Thank you for making this. When I tell somebody else I'm vegan, their reaction is always "oh my gosh, what do you eat?". Now I can show them this video and they'll know that the answer is FOOD. lol
Kroger is pretty good also. Meijer isn't bad either. Just need to look and read labels.

FINALLY you went to walmart. The only time I go to wegman's or whole foods is if I can't find a specific product (e.g.- vegan marshmallows or seitan). Walmart is more in the budget for me

Awesome video! I work at Walmart, and do a good portion of my vegan "extras" shopping there. At my Walmart, we also carry Chao slices, as well as a good selection of the Field Roast products, ie sausages, burger patties, frankfurters, mini corndogs, etc..

Same... tho I have found the Independent/Loblaws/Zehrs have a bigger selection then Walmart. Unless traveling to Toronto is an option for you. There's an all vegan grocery store there called good rebel.

This is so helpful I live in rural northern Minnesota. We have nothing like a Whole Foods or anything like that even in the nearest large town which is Fargo/Moorhead. So the only things we have is aldi Walmart and target. So it’s nice to see I could get some vegan options at Walmart that are actually affordable. I love Aldi also! So much variety for such a low price and when you drive an hour to the nearest grocery store your definitely looking for those good deals!
I'm glad your Walmart has all of these choices. I live in Houston, TX and my Walmarts don't have this extensive of a selection, and my sister in rural Missouri doesn't have this selection either. I think it really depends on locale.
Yup. We have a lot of choices here in my Iowa college town, but not as many as other places, to be sure. I don't think I've seen the vegan cheese in my local Walmart, but my local regional store has a small selection and the coop has even more. Of course, there are lots of food items in every store that are accidentally vegan.

Yeah someone really needs to teach supermarkets what ripe bananas look like! They throw them out when they get "too ripe" so I like to get to Aldi on Friday when everything is super ripe and ready to go because I honestly do not have the patience to wait for green bananas to go ripe lol

My Walmart does have some vegan stuff, but you don't need fancy vegan products to be vegan, fruits, veggies, tofu, rice, beans. lentils, spices, plant milk, pretty sure every grocery store has those now, just those basics and you can get by

My walmart used to have the best Gardein selection of any grocery store in the area. Now Gardein is very hard to find in Canada, especially the few gluten free products they have :(

My Neighborhood Walmart has Great Value Organic Quinoa bowls for about $1.40 each. They are precooked and do not need refrigeration. Minimal other ingredients. I take these on picnics and pour salsa on them. At home, I add Amy's soup and microwave in a separate bowl. The plastic bowls are recyclable in my area. Look for them near the rice.

My local grocery store has a vegan mayo made by... wait for it... Hellmans! Whaaaaat?!!! I had to try and it is actually delicious and the price was right as it was on sale. Love your videos!
I live 98 miles from Walmart, but it's even further to WF and Sprouts. I'm not even sure if there is a TJ in El Paso. I have been impressed seeing the vegan products being stocked on mainstream store shelves in just the last 6 years! I remember having to drive to Whole Foods for organic food! Now, it's readily available in most groceries! Love Amy's!
