    I've made probably a dozen different styles of scrub caps throughout this pandemic and I have to say this is my Go to ! Yes it takes slightly more time than others but the end result is an extremely professional looking and most importantly durable scrup cap. This is also my husband's FAVORITE cap to wear to work. And I've even made some for his coworkers. Ive watched this video many times. The pattern was easy to print out and the measurements are very accurate. I can't tell you how many times ive tried other patterns even ones ive bought and they have the incorrect sizing or format.. So THANK YOU!!! @Stephanie Zed

    This is an amazing video. Thank you. Question about the pattern. Do you have a larger one for a larger head?

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  Před 4 lety +1

      Try to enlarge the pattern before you print it. 😊Also make the ties longer.

    I would have done the topstitching prior to stitching down the ties thus eliminating backstitching.

    I wish I could post pic here. Had some fabric with nurse “sayings” and I fussy cut some for the front. So cute. My daughter will love it. Then made another for her. Very easy. Hardest part was trying to catch the back side of the tie in stitching.

    Hello Stephanie, Thank you for this tutorial and pattern. When I download the pdf, there are pattern pieces for the cap top and the cap front, however no piece for the tie. Would you please explain where the tie pattern piece is to be found, or the dimensions, so I may cut it to fit the other pieces? Thank you in advance. Rachel

    STEPHY por favor me informas si el patrón ya incluye costuras??? No se ve el corte de tela con el patrón. Me contestas. Por favor, para empezar.

      Recorta el patrón como lo ves. Luego cosa con un pequeño margen de costura.

    Stephanie, thanks for your initial response. My next question is that the pattern did not show how long or wide to cut the tie. Can you send me that info. Thanks so much!

    Wow I am so glad I fount this video! Thank you so much for sharing! I made two surgical caps using other videos and they were very tedious to make. I love how simple this one is and am going to try it today! About how long does it take you to make one?

    • @StephanieZed

      I can sew one in about 20 minutes. 30 if cutting out as well.😃

    You are a master. I’m not a great sewer and find that,my edges aren’t always so nice. The patterns And tutorials I’ve used in the past haven’t really focus on using the iron prior to sewing. I can see from your tutorial that ironing is key to making things pretty an clean. Your cap turned out beautiful.
    What brand of sewing machine do you have?
    Mine is old and the bobbin always jams up and catches. I’ve found videos an how to fix that problem, but it keep recurring. Thank you in advance.

    I watched your video. The tie strap should be 3 inches x 44 inches. Correct. Do I cut that in half and then make the scrub hat or do I cut 2 pieces of fabric at 3 inches x 44. Sorry stayed up late watching various tutorials I really like your style of scrub hat.

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  Před 3 lety +1

      The tie is 3” x 44”.
      Just one long strip.
      Have fun making it. It’s really so easy after you’ve made one. 😊😃

    My son wants caps with a lower front piece, would the adjustment be equal? If I take one inch off the cap front would I add one inch to the cap top?

    • @StephanieZed
      @StephanieZed  Před 3 lety

      I would first try to print it out at 105% or 110%. That might do the trick. The other thing would be to lengthen the cap top in the middle section tappering down to the sides so you would not have to change the top. The other thing would be is to make a wider band/tie.
