The fearlessness of the Buffalo and desire to help a herd member in trouble is so impressive. They never factor the danger no matter the attacker, they always come to help if possible.
Nice catch on camera, that doesn't happen too often. Gives a good perspective on how much power crocodiles have for that initial attack. Those buffalo are no pushovers in the muscle department.
What is interesting to me is watching the power of being startled and the pain overcome all the advantages that the buffalo had at the beginning, in shallow water with good footing where the croc was at a serious disadvantage. Had it remained sensible enough to put every effort into getting the few feet to the shore at that point, it would have been difficult for the croc to be successful. The buffalo was using reverse psychology. He was dragging the alligator back into deeper water making the crock think this guy isn't afraid of me for some reason.
Unlikely. It must have had lots of broken bones and wounds. Even if it didn't bleed to death and made it out of the water, it would have fallen prey to other predators or died of infected wounds soon later.
That's my frustration. It appeared to be moving slightly at the edge of the water with its head up but not able to do anything. Maybe the croc crushed his skull enough to make it unable to think. The croc originally had it by the mouth, but came up with it by the head.
That's amazing. Looks like the buf had some non healing injuries leaving it immobile. The death roll was intense with that much mass working on the neck. Nature is a bitch, everywhere, but Africa allows it front and center for everyone to see. Cool to see that rhino come in and take a look at the end. Thanks for the video.
I think at the end when the croc comes back, it seems likely that the croc bit somewhere on the back, possibly back leg and rips it off which leaves buffalo immobile
The Buffalo was mortally wounded. The croc will come back when it’s docile or dead. It’s neck was twisted, it’s face bitten and no doubt other limbs. It’s done for.
For the ones who still ask why the other buffallos did not help the one in need, the reason is simple: you have a massive hungry croc that will bite anything which gets in the water, so there would be even more injuries to other buffallos which would've go to help. And all those injuries, even a bite can turn fatal in few days.

That Buffalo survived a death roll. The Croc seems to be surprised by the endurance.
Well it's big, but I doubt it lived long. It is likely badly injured, and being injured in the wild isn't exactly what you want be in.
It didn't survive, it's obviously done
When you make that ultimate sacrifice so your mates can have a drink
Looks like the buffalo was badly hurt by how it layed down in the water afterwards...and the croc was just waiting out there for it to die...
One of the few buffalos that knows what it is like to have its head inside a washing machine with teeth.
The buffalo was using reverse psychology. He was dragging the alligator back into deeper water making the crock think this guy isn't afraid of me for some reason.
The buffalo was using the reverse psychology because it is a fool. That's why we call the human fools and idiots as "BUFFALO"
Ayathuray Rajathilagam hahahahahaha, you made my day! :D
The other Buffalos just standing around like "Aw he dead".
The herd was saying to each other I'll do something when you do something" 😂 Great video 👍👍
Impressive rhino's. Damn good camouflage and parenting " That's why I tell you ,you can't have a swim!"
Impressive strength on the buffalo, it even survived that roundtrip into the water .. But, did the buffalo survive or not?? What the fuck man......
Unlikely. It must have had lots of broken bones and wounds. Even if it didn't bleed to death and made it out of the water, it would have fallen prey to other predators or died of infected wounds soon later.
Nature is always sad even if he escaped other predators will get him 😢
That's my frustration. It appeared to be moving slightly at the edge of the water with its head up but not able to do anything. Maybe the croc crushed his skull enough to make it unable to think. The croc originally had it by the mouth, but came up with it by the head.

🐃🐊 So what would the buffalo have thought if he still would have been able to think? 😕😂😲
Uuuhhhh, NOPE! HE BECAME BUFFALO STEW!!
Buffalo: step in anytime chaps!
I love it when the sights and sounds of nature are punctuated with radio chatter.
Yeah that was a buzz kill. Squelch that shit.
How did it end? I hate such cliffhanger s.
Glad you made it Charlie!!! We were all there for you giving our moral support!!!
I don't think he made it. Judging by other comments he was mortally wounded.
That croc is eating well later. Charlie couldnt even get out of the water
Charlie is definitely dead
@@whyno713 The neck spin/twist did a lot of damage. Agree that animal is mortally wounded.
Just here to say thank you for understanding physics, and basic mammalian physiology. 🏆
Two dudes on the left: "screw that, I'm thirsty and I'm drinking!"
Other Buffalos: "Between this and Flint, I'm switching to bottled agua."
Lol i love the Rhinos ...... all like " that's yo deal "
Chadley Doodle I know, he was like.. "What the fuck are these bozos up too, now? Must suck having to worry about those big water lizards."
The Buffalo was mortally wounded. The croc will come back when it’s docile or dead. It’s neck was twisted, it’s face bitten and no doubt other limbs. It’s done for.
Thanks for the genius observation Captain Obvious.
All these buffalos watching are like: oooofff, there goes Bob!?
For the ones who still ask why the other buffallos did not help the one in need, the reason is simple: you have a massive hungry croc that will bite anything which gets in the water, so there would be even more injuries to other buffallos which would've go to help. And all those injuries, even a bite can turn fatal in few days.
Update on the buffalo, he fully recovered after this incident and now works at a Taco Bell in Chicago
That was before Jan. 20. He's Biden's chief of staff now.
Why didn't the footage continue. Another lame nature video on CZcams. You're fired.
Ha-ha!
You're Fired.hahahhah cant stop lol
Fake video
Lol
🤣
Buffalo: "HEEELLLlllppppPPPP... gUYs helPP MEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeee"
Other Buffalos: "Mooo"
I love how the Rhinos are just like "Hmm tough shit" *continues drinking.
Bruh... I know Buffalo are massive...
but the size of that Croc? He's perfected this over time.
Rest of the Herd: "Hey Joe!! You Alright there!?"
Joe: "..."
🐃: y'all was just go watch me die!?!?!
🐃:We was just about to jump in right Rick?
🦏:...yeah
Crocodile attacks Fred the Buffalo. Other buffalo: "Fred who?"
