    So ridiculously beautiful! 💗 Only thing is because I’m in CA, Santa Cruz mountains colors like that remind me of flames. I’m very triggered because it’s an extremely dry year. I washed in a paint background to draw landscape on in my sketchbook with yellow burnt Sienna and gray. It’s really pretty but taking a second look later I thought 😲 resembles fire in the brush and smoke 😧. Using anxiety to prepare. Cleaning up property is good in any year and every year.

      1. Please list the white paint you used, so I can try and get it here. If I can't, I may try my acrylic white paint, with a dash of water to make it a bit runny.
      2. Don't have the Ph Martin product either. Will try some DS sepia or Burnt In her.

    I dream of being able to afford Daniel Smith Watercolours especially the Primatek ones, can you recommend a handful of colours I could start with because I really want to get in to painting again. When I first started years ago and had lessons I was told to just have 3 colours and mix every colour I needed but all I got was flat muddy colours so I gave up, I still have a few paints but they've gone really dry, your videos have made me want to start afresh

    • @JeanLurssen
      @JeanLurssen  Před 5 měsíci

      It's hard to recommend colors because everyone has different tastes. If you purchase a primary yellow, red and blue you should be able to mix many colors. If you go to Daniel Smith's web site and find three of those colors that are primary and not mixed with other colors your should not get mud.
