Seeing jelly cry in this in the memory of his dad really struck me and hit me in the heart. I lost my dad around the same time jelly did and I was ready to end it and his music has saved my life. I was with a gun to my head and one of his songs came on and I just started crying and couldn't go through with it. I just hope one day I can thank him personally for saving my life.
I don’t normally post on CZcams, much less comment on other people’s posts, but for whatever reason your post made me want to say that I hope you’re in a better place now. I’ve been close to that before and Jelly, Struggle, Yelawolf, many more, have all helped me get through those times. Music has definitely saved my life many a time and I’m glad it helped you to keep going. Keep staying strong bro. Without the lyrics of that song slipping through the cracks of the depression running rampant through this mans mind, something else would’ve ran through it. I can honestly say Chester Bennington, Morgan Wallen, Kolby Cooper, Ryan Upchurch, and Jason Aldean have saved my life on multiple occasions. They have heavy impact, I hope you find an artist or something that can affect your life that much, it truly is an incredible feeling.
Lost my dad in 2017 and was there when he went and he hurt really bad but what hurt worse is how much it didn't seem to hurt the others that surround that situation if that makes sense! I'm sure they care, however, fuck them for the question!

As a kid we had three stations, classic rock, country and everything else, I’m 42, we heard Nirvana and DMX on the same channel,,, we grew up that way, hopefully country stations will just get it 🙏

My husband is 5 years younger than me too. At first, I was a little weary about the age, even though I was months away from turning 33 and his 28th birthday was 2 months to the day after mine. But it's now been almost 5 years, we recently got married and he's the best thing that's happened to me in years since I had my daughter! I haven't looked back and I'm the happiest I've ever been. I love you guys being so open and honest about your emotions and what is going on in your head. For too long our society has taught little boys it's not okay for them to cry or talk about feelings. It great to see men modeling for the next generation of men that it is okay to have feelings and to express them.
I recently found your podcast and I’m enjoying it. I love the fact of how jelly says that it’s accepted to listen to all genres. Growing up with my mom she played everything from Red Hot Chili Peppers to Clint black to outkast. It was also great growing up with my grandparents growing up listening to chubby checkers to Hank sr. It’s awesome how music is because music is an amazing way to show how you feel and to change how you feel. I think a great genre bending artist is Ronnie doing rap and metal core type music with falling in reverse. It’s always great seeing that

I’ve been around music since I was 5. Play multiple instruments. On 1 hand it was playing and singing in church every time the doors were open with my grandparents. And on the other hand it was blasting drums to everything from Metallica to Warren G and the Kentucky Headhunters with my stepdad. Music is the 1 thing in this world that has the power to bring this world together. I love seeing artists that ain’t afraid to merge different genres. In my eyes, there’s only 2 genres of music. Good and bad. Keep it real fellas.

Feel like I grew up similar to Ern, down here in the Chattanooga area. Came up with an athletic background, listenin to rap and rap only, then as I got older, country started to become more of my thing. Now my musical taste is exactly what y’all are talkin about.

Used to pay 5-10 bucks to watch Rock play live and sometimes there'd be 10 ppl there and sometimes it'd be so jam packed ya couldn't hardly move. Maybe it's nostalgia but seeing so many times in clubs and pubs where'ed he come out and smoke with ya after... this big shows now..
