Don't forget, parallel ports are going away and just about gone! You will not find one on a laptop anymore. This works with the USB port. Every PC has one. The software ties to the physical unit (UC100 etc....) and can be run on any pc. It also runs on 64 bit and 32. Mach 3 only supports 32 bit. And again, 32 bit is just about history as well!!! This also runs Win 10 and under. About $110 for unit and $55 for software. Cheap. No I do not work for them.

What system are you referring to. I need to move from parallel port Xylotex controller to something I can use on a laptop to control my steppers with Mach 3

I read further and understand the UC100 is a usb - parallel interface. I think I need a better stepper controller. What do you recommend?

This video, I was disappointed to see, was not really about what the title lead you click and watch. Was probably good for users who "already" had the UCCNC loaded and was actually using and or were using Mach3 (4). Is there a video that goes step by step of connecting and running a generic CNC router using "just the UCCNC". That would actually be a video for beginners and UCCNC.
