Back in 2022 when btc was at its cycle low, people where saying btc is done for it's going below $15k US it's going to zero. Well it's down 10% from mid March ath 2024 and now everyone is shitting themselves. That doesn't make any logical sense especially for crypto.Its just a shake out phase, chill people go zoom out at old charts. We are at around 1.4 trillion market cap and only growing, just wait and see the price next year in March it will double....I've been engaged in active trading and managed to grow a nest egg of around 2.3Bitcoin to a decent 24Bitcoin....I'm especially grateful to Sandy Barclays, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

I agree. When I ask people how the ETF is good for crypto traders, I never get a good answer. The financial institutions are going to buy it all up and sell to their clients, then buy it back from THEIR clients. It won't be available in large quantities on the exchanges.

Theres no regulator auditing CEX .. BTC seems to be stuck below ATH ..likely due to same price suppression... BR is only after profits.
Etfs are good to early investors i think, of course they come with challenges, Icp etf coming also, its a matter of time. But as long as one knows whats happening, they will always know how to handle
Jerry I never realized how staking on ICP discourages malicious actions. the more ICP you stake for longer , means the more voting power you have, and the more invested you are in the project, the less likely you are to act maliciously

I agree with you Jerry on that. Most of average people who don;t even know how to use btc will use spot btc etf. I wonder how much impact spot etf will have on price volatility... Many crypto youtubers claims we will not have bullruns and bear markets anymore. If that will happend we can say goodbye to our potential profits.

Well, if ETF’s are bad for BTC & ETH, do you think ICP wouldn’t also be negatively affected? Also, if you’re concerned about not holding actual BTC & ETH due to ETF’s, simply use self custody. The ETF’s are simply affecting the newcomers that will now be brought into crypto, & they are the ones who won’t possess their private keys, but if you’re already using self custody, you have nothing worry about. Whatever is bad for BTC is bad for the rest of the crypto industry. As you see, ICP is down 61% from highs back in April; as BTC drops, so goes the rest
You can’t stop an etf . For pretty much anything they decide.
Hold your BTC yourself let the corporate world buy the etf and if u like bitcoin , self custody.
I do agree with a lot of what you say Jerry, and I believe that if governments/investment firms ever control a lot of the bitcoin, like 50%, I believe, yes it will tank the price of bitcoin because it looses its value. But if you look at who owns bitcoin at the moment, its individuals. I believe if they "fractional reserve" sell bitcoin ETFs, it'll just put holes in their ship but not undermine the true value of bitcoin. I still think bitcoin is currently safer than gold to store yourself. ICP is fucking rad too.

If ICP becomes as big as BTC and ETH, don't you think ICP will get an ETF as well? With staking, I think it's valid to say that ETH is too centralized, but with btc mining being separate, the bitcoin network has not been compromised. If BTC is to become a global reserve currency, the ETFs were always going to happen and does not change things. And with companies like Ocean and many global actors in mining, transactions will not be censored (even if some miners censor certain transactions)
