Just picked up a beautiful early Remington 31 in .20-ga. with a 28-inch full choke barrel. Shoots like a house-a-fire, action so smooth with a great pattern.

I have a model 31 in 16 ga. that is marked modified choke on the barrel but has a Weaver choke installed on the muzzle with a full choke tube installed. From your description I must assume this was an after market device. The full choke tube is the only one I have. The gun seems to pattern #6 shot the best and with 1-1/8 oz it is an absolute hammer on pigeons around the farm out to some very satisfying ranges. The gun has great sentimental value as I bought it many years ago from a friend who was dying of cancer and he wanted me to have it.

I wish Remington would bring them back.

It would be great for you to cover the Winchester model 50 semi-auto shotgun.
