Another good video. The driver fatigue is great advice. Before RV, driving distance and time were double what they are now. Because of stops, speed overage is 50 mph, this 6 hours for a 300 mile days. On good days we have gone over 400, many breaks along the way. The other thing is no side trips the day before we leave.

My experience is almost identical to yours. We seem to average about 50 mph when we figure in rest stops and everything. And we are usually on the road for 6 hours on 300 mile days too. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!

    Great tips as usual Duane!
We have a Class C (on an E450 chassis) and have been considering towing a toad. We'll check out your towing recommendation videos once you post them here.

All of your tips also apply for those trailer towing as well. However, if the brakes on the towed, dolly, or trailer are adjusted properly, then they should not affect the stopping distance.

I want to know every single factor that would cause a tow bar to break. Must be an quality control thing. That’s scary.

Tow bars are pretty reliable. Mine broke because it was reaching the end of its service life and I had not replaced it as fast as I intended to. But I went ahead and bought another one from the same company .

Are you recommending a 3rd party tire pressure monitoring system be installed on the towed vehicle or somehow using an already existing tire pressure monitoring system that may have come with the vehicle?

My recommendation is to have a TPMS unit that monitors all of your rig's tires at the same time as you go down the highway.
