You should 100% use the tow haul button with any load!!! It’s there for a reason.
99 yarem var beri gel😂 its turkish song. Good job bro
"Budget transmission masters"
I smoked a transmission myself not using tow haul mode when I was young. Mistakes are okay. Sometimes the best way to learn.
@Dana Jones Well said!
7000 dollar mistake is the way you learn. Where the he’ll is your brain at son. You don’t use a pick up truck as a tractor & haul 4 cars. Kids these days
@@heavytruckequipmentrepairs6165 are you decrepit? Theres thousands of hot shotters
Its nice to see someone who is humble enough to recognize their own mistakes and learn from them. Great attitude, way to keep moving forward bro !!
In other words, READ THE DIRECTIONS!!!!!
sounds better than the people who sold you the KW
You should honestly be using tow haul whenever the trailer is even empty as it is a farely heavy trailer as it is
It's pretty sad when you can get a better warranty from a Transmission shop than you can from the manufacturer! Says a lot about Ford.
They may have been cheaper, but if or when it fails again, where could you take it for repair? If you bought the Ford dealer installed transmission, it could be repaired at any ford dealer nationwide, i highly doubt that budget transmission place will do that, also the fine print on your invoice says that you must return it there for service checkup and such, not very convenient for a hotshot business to have to do that. Just my opinion, but you should have pushed Ford customer service to help with the repair, they likely would have offered the parts and had you pay for the labor costs.
Ford can take a lot of beating and that's the reason it got brokedown so late.
The reason it broke? Because it doesn’t say ALLISON on it. I mean I only have 322,000 miles on my my 2500 Duramax so I might be going out on a limb here. I ALWAYS use the tow setting when pulling my 5th wheel too👍
Yusef tu español esta chingon amigo 👍👌💯
I thought ford had a 100,000mi warranty on the powertrain?
The 2019/20 Ford Truck 350 have RECALL transmission fail the Ford company repair and free/ or you get money $7000 repair Ford recall.
I bought the 150,000 mile Ford bumper to bumper warranty. This way I don’t stress out until I hit those miles.
Glad you got it fixed. Smart move to get someone besides Ford to fix it.
All salesmen are nice; for a reason.
picked up a new sub at the transmission shop..
Yes use tow/haul
And engine break ran trucks hotshotting with that always on for over 300k miles on each truck with no issues
Were you running cdl class weight all the time like he did tho?
@@DD-np4ch yes
Congratulations Yousiff
Have a nice day

Your positive attitude (even after this huge bill) is fantastic!! Love your channel and stories. :)
Great Singing Yusf. Take life in stride.👍
If you get a Dodge Ram get the 2018 Model with Asin Transmission with 410 Gears Truck is solid for 380,000 with Other Trucking Companies that own Many. Yes I have 2018 Ram 3500 with Asin Transmission and 373 Gears👍👍
So what had actually failed on the transmission?
Isn't that truck under warranty ?
I really don't understand how this truck broke in ANY way at 76k miles... not using the tow/haul mode shouldn't have damaged it so severely that it needs a rebuild/transwap
wtf
👍👍
My guy payed 5k for an ice scraper and got a free transmission what a deal!!!!
Why was the original trans not covered under warranty. I had 2020F350 Cp4 fuel pump fail at 60k. Staying away from Ford for now, back in a Ram.
So that truck was only a year old? Why wasn't it under warranty? Did you get an extended warranty when you bought the truck?
Pickup trucks are NOT designed to be used like semi's! If the guy went Enterprise, he'd be on his second truck and paid $16,590.00, had no maintenance expense, no tire expense. With depreciation and maintenance, he's into the truck for $45,000.00.
Did you have the transmission serviced every 30k? Service the trans every 30k when used like you use it. Tow haul mode is there to use but if you manually engage gears outside of tow haul mode you’d be just as good as tow haul mode. Ford has issues with the 10sp auto trans and is not an uncommon failure. Always use the exhaust brake. I have a Ram 3500 and only use tow haul when I’m really loaded down. I use the gear limit switch all the time when not in tow haul mode, especially when pulling hills. Every 30k the Aisins trans gets fluid changes and every 60k it gets a new filter. If ya buy another hotshot setup go with a 2021 Ram as they did away with the problematic CP4 lift pump that Ram and Ford have so many issues with
Tow/haul actually raises line pressures in certain circumstances. Reduces slip and therefore heat. Won't cause damage overnight, but will over time when towing heavy loads or high frontal area loads.
BTW, that 10 speed transmission is the one designed by a joint venture of GM and Ford.
Same thing happen with my f359 at same miles 75k last week i spend 7k 8hundrd $ now just back on road and yes i was useing towhual mood and engine breaks
if that's a 2020 model , wouldn't it be covered under warranty??? , dont get that
Chevy next?? As far as i know the 10spds in the 1500s and cars are co developed by GM and Ford.
I had a 2014 Ford Fiesta with clutch issues which was a national recall and took over 2yrs to get it replaced. You should of went with a Chevy 3500HD
The tow haul mode when you activate it prolog the damage to allow it to take longer to break down since you save some of the aka used the gears and clutches that you have originally skipped and when the damage gears and clutch spread there metal fragments through the gears and clutches that you start using with the tow haul mode on it finally broke the transmission in whole... Use the tow haul mode and the engine brake when hauling a trailer at all times in your pickup trucks and trucks in general....
this is why I went with a manual.
الحمدلله على على كل حال الله يوفقك أخويه ان شاء الله
What’s up yousif I saw you unloading lumber in Phoenix Az I was the green truck parked
They have pretty good reviews
You didn't use the tow mode since day one, the damage was building since day one, took 45k mile to give up....
👑 of hotshot
Tow/haul mode locks the torque converter, and changes the transmission shift schedules(holds gears longer). With sustained heavy use, that would have cause a higher that usual transmissions fluid temperature. Thus breaking down the fluid and the additives, eventually causing internal clutch failures. The engine brake locks the torque converter, but uses the normal shift schedule when not in tow/haul mode. I personally use the engine brake all the time, as it saves the foundation(wheel) brakes. My 2019(bought in Oct 2018) still has 75% on pads that primarily are city driven at 40k miles.
This! Is 1000% accurate
I have a 14 ram 3500 with the infamous 68rfe and rebuilt once the right way and before and after rebuild hardly ever use tow/haul. No issues. I use it when I'm super heavy towing or up and down mountains
Use TOW HAUL. And keep up with transmission fluid
Bruh i use tow haul mode with my banshee on back of a 1500 lol
Not using tow haul mode definitely smoked the transmission
Step up to the F 450. I think you will like it.
Stay Safe
Pretty sure he's done with trucks since he already has a semi
yes you should be using tow mode if u hauling anything over10k to protect you transmission
so you paid 7000 for a "remanufactured" (aka second-hand) transmission instead of 8000 for a new one ?
I would assume a remanufactured trans has updated components to improve reliability, whereas a new trans from Ford is probably the same as the original
Sell it before the cp4 pump goes next
What is the cp4 pump and how much is to fix that?
Check all your under pinning if they took your cab off.
Drive in tow haul mode and exhaust brake now
why are you selling the truck
First I was surprised and pleased to hear your spanish in the previous video.
Its hard to be a transporter Many dont know the expenses this business has beyond changing oil and filters . Even drivers dont know and their vehicle suffers. We can save money doing some of the maintenance ourselves but its important to visit certified shops regularly . I know a lot of vehicles that reach 500000 miles and more with a good maintenace program.
Lesson learned!
Do you ever look at your transmission temp gauge, it should never go over 200 degrees, and if it does let off on it and get the temp back down to the 160 and 170's.
Good thing you got it fixed. How much for the truck? Judging by what you want for the trailer, r u going to ask for the MSRP? lol
My truck and trailer were stolen. Getting insurance check this week. Need to buy truck and trailer ASAP.
Do ford recommend a service interval for the gerbox service ? Because I would think towing would increase the heat and wear down the transmission fluid.
Ford intervals are way to long. 30K to change fluid is reasonable.
pretty fucked up that they gave you 100k warranty on a transmission that ford only gave 60k for
not your fault man everyone is having issues thats why it only has a 60k warranty
Let’s get some new intro music Yusuf
I wonder if the transmission warranty is transferable
Nope.
What are you going to get? If you have the time order a new truck with lover gear ratio such as 4.10 or 4.11.
He already has a semi, if you ever took time to look at his other videos you'd have found the info, he's probably going to use it instead
@@DD-np4ch of course I know he has a Kenworth T600 that his brother and brother-in-law are driving. You know what they say three’s a crowd. Let’s wait and see what he comes up with.
@@johnschubert4665 he doesn't seem to pleased with his experience in running a pickup truck as a cdl hotshot especially given the fact that truck gave out on him before 100 and when he was buying the truck at first i got the impression he didn't really like paying that much for it
@@DD-np4ch yep 👍 the T600 was less and more comfortable.
Check transmission temp and install a oversized transmission cooler , those factory transmission coolers are undersized for towing, look up mishimoto transmission cooler, sounds like you overheated the transmission & hang in there!!##trucknaintez
How come 100,000 mile powertrain warranty didn’t cover it from Ford? We’re you over 100K
Ford is 3 years/36,000 (whichever comes first
Ford gives 3 years/36,000 (whichever comes first
What are you looking to get for your truck?
I've always used it, I fueled up one time and forgot to engage when I pulled off and went down a 5% grade hauling 6k lbs and felt it immediately lol
selling it all ready, hmm. so what are going to buy next? try a chevy. i just would like to see how they do. or will you get another ford understanding that at 70,000 miles you should get ride of it.
Watch his other videos and you'll find the answer
Hard to believe that they have remam transmissions already for the 10spds in the heavy duty trucks.
hello, longtime subscriber here!, question, how often have you done trans oil changes since youve own it? just curious..sum say running hard would require changing it more often,
p.s. Canadian fan here, i just bought my first truck today waitin on my IRP ect ect 🙂 thanks for the great videos and inspiration.
Nelson.
use tow mode
Your Using the truck at its extreme end of what its made for. I am certain not using the tow mode and not using the engine brake was the reason your transmission failed.
اللهم اري ذريتي الحق حقا وارزقهم اتباعه وأريهم الباطل باطلا وارزقهم اجتنابه🤲🏻❤️😘
ITS BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T USE TOW HAUL. I DO HOTSHOT TRUCKING WITH THIS EXACT TRUCK. IM AT 102K MILES MY FRIEND. NO DEAD TRANSMISSION. IT WAS YOUR FAULT. BE HUMBLE TO ADMIT IT. THAT GUY AT THE SHOP CLEARLY DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF YOUR WORK.
Come back when it’s done 150k without going pop. Ford are trash for high mileage, dodge all the way for big boy mileages.
What's the warranty on a 2020?
Why was it not covered under factory warranty
Read the owners manual on a truck it’ll tell you everything you need to know
Have you ever heard the 100 bend rule...grab a metal clothes hanger and begin bending the wire...once you do the first bend, you begin to weekend the wire...you can bend it 25 times but does not break...bend it 50 times and still does not break but weak...however eventually it will break...same principle with your transmission...you weakened it by not using the transmissions tow haul option...expensive lesson learned...
So, what truck are you getting Next?
I heard you singing in Turkish, right? :)
How mach are you asking for your track.
Have you considered a standard transmission? None of that automatic nonsense with tons of parts & electronics to fail you. Might be worthwhile to look into a rig with one of those. My rig will be a standard trans. goodluck!!!
No one builds a pickup with a standard anymore. Ram was the last manufacturer to do it and 2018 was the last year.
So what are you getting into next? Are you going to give up on hotshots and drive your semi?
Dude . You must use your tow haul mode. We as hotshot drivers always use your hotshot mode.
tow haul helps but definitely not to blame
2018 and older ram have turbo issue
2019 and newer ram have cp4 pump issues
ford have transmission issues
all vehicles have problems lol
What happened to the valve body job at the Ford dealer?
They never put it on. They came back and said it wasn’t the valve body.
On The Road ohh ok . Thanks for the update
Whats your new plan? Big rig ???
Will you be buying a different brand of truck?
Did the transmission shop purchase the replacement transmission from Ford or did they purchase a remanufactured transmission from their supplier?
It would have been around $4,000 to have a transmission shop rebuild it.
Did the sun shell fail?
ألحمد لله اتصلحت اشوية أرخص ..🤲
باجر كوم من الفجر و أكل 🍳 وروح للشغل حتى ترجع الفلوس إلى دفعته. 👷♂️👍
Wasn't it covered under warranty?
Hello Yusuf how long have you been in usa
Is this the end of on the road are you buying a new truck?
@Ray C there will never be an end to On The Road, the equipment could be different but my journey will be the same! #TheGrindContinues
How many days were you off?
Are you getting another pickup or going into your Peterbilt?
My guess is peterbilt.
If you took the time to look at his other videos he already answered this
Tow haul mode makes no difference. I've got trucks in my fleet with 400,000 miles on the original trans and we haul bigger loads and never use tow haul. The problem is that the 10 speed is junk. Joint venture by Ford/GM. This 10 speed has no drain plug and was not designed to be serviced. It has a 150K lifespan according to the manufacture.
The original Ford 6 speed transmissions had no issues. You don't need all those extra gears for just going down the highway. The bigger F750 trucks still use the 6 speed and have no issues.
What I don't understand, why would you spend 7000$ on a replacement transmission and then sell the truck?
With that new of a truck and those miles, you're gonna take a massive loss. Should've just sent the truck to auto auction without wasting money to fix. Most fleets will not repair trucks if they plan to auction them.
Yusuf what’s going on brother
All fords have transmission issues... this is a known problem.
