    Video Description:
Solo walk through Old Cairo, Egypt.
My video was filmed on Sunday, December 11, 2022. My walk starts in downtown Cairo streets, then a short taxi ride to Khan el-Khalili Markets and then the sun sets as I return to the centre of the city.
After walking in-and-out of the street market and shops, I got confronted by a stranger who was upset at me for filming the alley ways, and I also tried some Egyptian street food. It was tasty.
Come on a walk with me through Cairo!

Great video Chris. I am an Egyptian living in Toronto, and the guy doesn't want you filming rubbish in Cairo because Egyptians are paranoid over people showcasing the dirty parts of the city, which they think hurts tourism, and also they may have thought you were making fun of the run-down parts. They dont realize you see value and excitement in the uniqueness of the alleyways (I do as well and totally get your excitement). He was terribly awkward with trying to articulate that.
And also, the hustlers are exhausting. Dont blame you at all for being cold to the driver at the beginning of the video. You ever need anything in Egypt, let me know. I go back 3 times a year but live in Toronto.

Chris I know this video was taken a year ago but, my guy!! Be a little nicer to everyone, that man that just wanted you to take his card wasn’t looking for just a sell. You never know who you may need/meet again since you go there so often. Think of it as a networking opportunity. That man could open many doors for you or even may be there if you needed him say if you needed help in the city. I travel just like you and I can’t tell you how MANY times those “cards” have came in hand!! You can tell just by the way the man carries himself and speaks that he knows A LOT of ppl and A LOT of ppl know him. Sometimes it’s just about who you know that gets you in the doors you need/want to get into!! Trust me I KNOW!! But great video man😊 just a friendly tip from one traveler to another! Much love 💕 xo

Im hoping to visit iraq in the future, its defintly on my bucket list now after watching your videos. sad because egypt was on my bucket list as a kid but after watching all these videos and seeing how tourist are treated there i will never visit or think about visiting.
