Alternative Space:1999 fan film: The Void Ahead with Steve Maddox. 2022

Before it became Breakaway, Space:1999 started as a plot called The Void Ahead, about Steve Maddox of Moon City and aliens propelling the Moon out of orbit. And before Martin Landau, Robert Culp was considered for the role. This fan-made short tries to depict Steve Maddox as the off-beat astronaut Sylvia Anderson envisaged, alone on Moon City with Com-Com (Commander's Computer) and with a personality inspired by Robert Culp's acting style. Set in 2099, this alternative is about how one man is stranded alone on a runaway Moon with just his computer for company.
