As you know sun situated at Orion arm.
I want to know is sun and Orion arm together revolving around Sagittarius a star ?
Or Sun pass through one arm to another during galactic revolution ?
No brother, SUN isn't going through arms.. infact the arm itself is rotating. Even new studies proves that the spinning speed of stars away from Sagittarius A* black hole is been slowed down by the dark matters present everywhere across. We can say that all stars are in their positions. The position even won't change in millions of years... but yes there cause some minor changes in position of stars . Here what i meant is "moving stars" which moves around the galaxy... & this type stars are very rare&less...
Our closest star is Proxima Centauri.
Ross star...»The star is actually moving so fast through space that in about 36,000 years, it will actually take over the title as the closest star to Earth (besides our Sun) for about 9,000 years.....🙌
