Only a few minutes in, but by far, this is the best animated sci-fi podcast about flatpicking contests in the entire galaxy. Kudos!
💙🙏🏼
So interesting to hear Andy’s version of Walnut experience. My son Ian won it last year and I have to say they’re almost identical situations. Ian’s first year was the experience that get him in the final, then placed 3rd in 2022, then he basically told us he wants to win it in 2023 and he did! I’m sure he’ll remember and treasure the experience for the rest of his life!
@takeadeepbreath6053 I met your son last year at IBMA and played a few tunes with him at the Collings booth. A good picker for sure, fun to pick with!
Thanks for the kind words, especially from a legend❤
Love this format. Thank you! 😁
WVF added this link to a post on their FB page. I'm glad I stumbled upon it! What a fun listen! I have been going my entire life to this festival, my grandpa did the corn Concessions and my dad played in a band on stage 5 in the Grove. Wonderful memories at every stage of life. I fully believe everyone should experience this festival at least once in their lives. Thanks for shining a light on it!
This is a lot of fun! I've been casually catching these when Marcel posts them. I really like the format, the interviews and the story and world building that's going on. Good job guys!
🙏🏼💙
Cool video!
Whomever is Artist in Residence this year is going to have some big shoes to fill. Can't wait for September!
Should I have mentioned the connection between the Osborn Brothers and the Hully Gully? - Nah!
Enjoyed it...fun as usual, but didn't Andy win more than once...have him back on to talk about his other wins and if the Frenchman should up again
I love this, thank you. lmao Finally more secrets ancient secrets revealed. I cant wait to witness the ceremony in Bohemian...I mean Pecan Grove.
Can you make a video on fall in Tennessee by authentic unlimited
Andy!
What the heck did I just watch? Guys, I was kidding when told y'all that you had a face made for radio? Geez. lol. So, without trying to change or add anything to Andy's story/experience, I would clarify that there are five judges at Winfield, not three. I had the privilege to also judge there as well as compete.
Haha, please come be a guest on the show. Although, you will have to play a ridiculous sci-fi character of some sort.
Let's do it!@@LessonsWithMarcel
but if Grandma hooked up with Bobby, Hayes might not exist...or became another member of the Osborne Brothers and Grandson
Woohoo! Ohio bluegrass
How did you get that sound in the mix in the beginning? What effects are being used?
What moment? Give me a timestamp.
Right at the beginning@@LessonsWithMarcel
Right at the beginning is just harmonics being played on a dobro (it's a quote from the Star Trek theme), followed by some dobro noodling with a voice over. No effects other than some reverb on the dobro.
That sounds incredible. wth is a dobro?@@LessonsWithMarcel
Always suspected Andy was an alien...
So, you guys, (Hayes), got no real job shuckin corn or buckin hay, so you can hang at the library lookin up all this blasphemy? Nobody's from Ohio, cep Jack Nicklaus, Lol!
What is with the non stop laughing for no reason. Makes me not want to listen to this channel ever.
We'll try to have less fun next time just for you.
@@LessonsWithMarcel that would help a lot thanks
Whew, thanks for handling that Marcel. I can’t believe we almost lost @Steve-si8hx!
@@HayesGriffin it was a close one
