This was the first one of these countertop painting videos that I've watched that felt authentic...you showed your errors and doubts and how to avoid the mistakes so thank you for the dose of reality.
im impressed, pretty and handy!!
You did so great!!! Thanks for all the tips! Love it.
Wow! You done a great job . The counter tops look so much better.
thanks so much for sharing this, I need to do something with my countertops and this looks like a great option.
Thank You for a Great Informative Video!! Great Step -by -step Instructions for All The Prep work. Especially using the regular wood putty to fix any damage or cracks. I was not able to find any kind of repair kits or products to fix things like that. Everyone is out of stock. Great video!! Thank You
Your a true lifesaver. This video has helped me tremendously. Thank you so much for making the video and thanks for all the tricks and tips. 😍😍😍
lee lovely I’m so happy I could help! Hope your project goes well! 😊
I am doing my today in the pewter color!! I love your idea if mixing the white and gray to add more to it. Can’t wait !!
Nice job. Love it!
Nice job! Cheers from England xx
Great idea to use the two colors for a "marbleized" look. How is the surface holding up now - scratches, scuff marks, peeling, etc.? Does the surface need some kind of clear coat as a protectant? Thanks
Great job
Seeing few patches of paint on the wall, no matter how good you think you are, always put tape all over the counter, sink…and cover the lowers cabinets with plastic.
I'll give you A for effort, I love your tenacity;)
Great job! My problem is my laminate is lifting off the particle base, and there humps on the surface. What can I do for that?
Hello
was wondering if you had any feedback on the wear and tear of the the paint you used on the counter tops??
It’s been about 6 months now and it’s holding up great! I think as long as you prep them well it should stay pretty good!
Damp cloth over paint tray before refrigerating, something to try.
Looks great 👍 how has this help up?
Hello!
Thank you for your advice and especially for being so beautiful and gentle, I love the texture of your skin, I hope one day you will publish a video of your vacation, I think we need to see you and understand you closer, greetings and hugs
Did you add some polyethylene on top to seal or just leave as is.
So I know it’s just a rental but I wonder how well they held up for the tenant. They look great though! I can’t wait to try mine! You had a lot more detail than most videos I’ve seen.
We just checked them last month and they are holding up great!
@@emmanies4901 Thank u for replying! I’m definitely gonna try this, u sold me! lol
Good work! Was the white paint also rustoleum?
Yes, they’re the same paint!
It looks great! Can I buy stoned countertop paint?
After how long would you say the smell went away?
I hope you used paintable silicone calk! I've done so many houses where they used unpaintable calk, and it sucks!
The trick is not to load your brush too much with any paint job, this stops any drips
What’s better I wonder their countertop paint or their restorations kit?
Seeleygirl I believe the restoration kit is more durable because it is epoxy based. However, it’s also harder to do (if I’m not mistaken)
@@emmanies4901 Thank you! Sounds right. Rust-Oleum came out with more shades. 16 tints. I hear such mixed reviews I get paralyzed to make a decision. Good work girl!
@@seeleygirl6178 was not impressed
How is it holding up after a2 years???
Clean with tsp, then sand, so you don’t sand grim into the counters.
You did a good job on the tile in the shower but that is an absolutely awful place for it to be. You'd be hitting your head on the ceiling constantly unless you stood right next to the shower head lol! A curtain would be a nightmare to keep in place too.
Also that slanted drywall would be mildewed in no time flat.
Thank you! Unfortunately I can’t change the structure of the building. And the slanted wall has been like that for 50 years- it’ll be fine.
They only rent to very short people. lol. -- I agree with you 100%! I saw the shower and thought, "the ceiling needs to be tiled! and only very short people can fit in there."
You can use colored calk too.
Yes you can! I use PAINTABLE calk. if you don't paint won't stick!
Did you use a sealer on these when you were done painting them ?
It’s me RC no you don’t need one
@@emmanies4901 thank you for responding sweetie I’m gonna try to do my daughters counters because they are retro green and they are not pretty at all . 😊
It’s me RC as long as you follow directions it should work well!
What color is it gray or ash?
@@lachic2169 it looks gray but I’m not sure .
looked better as solid color imo.
Nicole J it definitely didn’t in person! It was very streaky and uneven, needed the texture to cover the imperfections 😊
@@emmanies4901 How has it held up???
@@kimberlychoanwood-saldana2646// I guess we'll never know. I was hoping she'd answer you
I think what you should’ve done was just get some rest oleum clear spray paint and just spray-painted the grey colour and it would’ve been looking nice and glossy and pretty without the marks
That wouldn’t have held up and I did not want it glossy.
You may have done this alot but alot of people have not.
Are you a DYI site or make up review channel? It seems you know alot about what you're doing in this video, maybe do more?
Not my cup of tea...
