    Hi Harry !!
The videos are sounding great mate......You're a natural !! Those projects you made out of teak sound beautiful.
The gift of the two pens that you are donating to Mike Newman and his charity is absolutely amazing.I know he will so happy to receive such beautiful pens and they will enable a disabled person to have a drive in a race car or off-road buggy. The next time I am at his office I will let him listen to this video and I know he will love it.
Thank you so very much Harry !!
    Take care.
    Chris.

This looks like Ipe and seems like the two pieces of Ipe that I have because the weight of it is amazingly heavy. Beautiful little projects you made.

Another great video. Sorry to say, my tree identification skills are limited to native trees and only if the leaves are on them. Thanks for sharing.

I am not familiar with teak other that wood that is used in boat building. The important thing is that it is teak and makes very nice pieces. Great job. Love makin pens.

Wow! Many thanks for the shout out Harry and what a great gesture sending the pens to Chris, your a top man. I wish I knew what the wood is but I'm really bad at wood species. Some great projects you have there, and the wood does look really nice with the shellac and linseed oil finish.
    All the best
    Tony

Nice projects Harry. I'm not that well versed I wood identification but ipe sounds like a logical choice. I know ipe is very heavy and is reddish brown in color. Whatever it is it makes beautiful turning projects. Take care, Steve

Hi I'm glad I found your channel, really beautiful turnings. I think the wood might be Ipe, I got some and it look similar to yours. I saw the Ca glue with accelerator in Poundland last week and I was wondering if it's any good. Thanks for the video
    Take care Karol

Hey Harry, beautiful wood and pieces. Here are the four types of teak on the wood database site -- maybe you can use the density to help determine which one it is. Good luck.
