Love seeing your morning basket and the addition of folk songs- is there a website you can link to find them? It would be so helpful. 😀

I have a younger set of kids (9,7,5, 1) but we learn the same verse and say it each day. I find it easier to have every one on the same path (for now). Also, we have a short and quick "Morning basket" and an afternoon basket type thing that we call our "gathering" time. What works, works 👍
We do our hymns, poetry, and Bible devotional (catechism, etc) at our Breakfast time. Then, after some of the individual subjects we gather (thus the name lol) and do our Family Bible time (we are currently watching the Action Bible videos), our Classical Conversations memory work for the day, related picture books or you-tube videos, coloring pages, practice our presentations, and we usually end with our Spanish lesson (we are using "Salsa Spanish").
I loved your line up, too. I especially liked the idea of having a book that says do this at this point in time, etc. I am currently putting my stuff together myself. Though, I did write down my pattern (lest I forget).

Thank you for this video. I was looking for an "open and go" morning basket routine. Looks like could be it! ❤️

I really like those picture studies.

We LOVE “How Great Is Our God” and tend to go down rabbit trails digging deeper in the science part of it!

Do you have a link from the basket. I can’t find it.

Hi Kimberly, I searched Target's website and couldn't find this specific one anywhere on their site. I purchased it several years ago.

If you go to thrift store or yard sales is bet you can find something amazing to store them in.

Oooh I’ve been interested in Laying down the rails. I did get our 24 family ways… but I’m not sure it’s a good fit. We also had started Bonnie Greiner’s “Godly Character Traits.”

We DO have a lot in common...I have that same devotional (Our 24 Family Ways) as well and didn't find it a very good fit for our family either. How do you like the Bonnie Greiner devotional?

@@thishomesteadlife925 I would say it’s more of a guide than a devotional… it’s nice. It’s gentle. I think it is geared more towards the younger children. Has coloring pages at the end to go with each character trait. It is a good reminder though!!! I do gently remind my kids to be “cheerful workers” 😁

Have you started your new school year yet? We have not… but I’m itching to get started. Still recovering from knee surgery, and we are going on vacation for a week coming up soon.

Oh no, I hope you recover soon! Yes, we started our homeschool this past Monday!
