  • I thought I would do a quick video on my preferred choice for motorcycle phone mounts. I see a lot of questions around which is the best to buy, and in my experience, Tackform has stood the test of time.
This is family owned USA based small company that produces a great product that I enjoy using. Great people, great product!

Great product. Bought 2 of them several years ago. Have one on my FLRT. Wife's FatBoy Lo has one as well. Truly holds the phone safely and securely. Great company to deal with as well.

Ah, sorry, they are factory 47 Signature Series 14" bars. They are very nice, but wider than expected so be sure you measure your span and comfort levels before going through the expense and effort to get them installed.
Measurement is key for sure 🙂

Question: I am looking at tackform as well. I see you went with the 3.5" arm. I am debating going that way as well, but am afraid of it sticking out too far. Any benefits to the longer versus the standard length? I am left handed so it will be on the vertical on the left side.

Thanks for the question. I have different lengths depending on the bike. I think it will really come to the reach and what accessories you have and where. On my meat hooks, the longer worked better. On the rocket, the shorter one did. Best bet is to try and measure where they will land and see if it will work for your application. I have them on both sides so left or right won’t really matter as much as what could be in the way for where you want to mount it. On my Road Glide, the accessory port is on the right so that mandated that location.
Having 2 pivot points really helps with positions as well so that will make a huge difference too.
They are a great product and nice people. You can also reach out and they will help you if needed. Hope that helps and ride safe.

I had the quad lock mount, ya know cause every first time buyer sees their marketing wank and buys that piece of crap. My quad lock phone case is junk, the screen protector is warped already less than a year after I bought it. My buddy bought a tackform, and on our last ride I was so pissed off at the quad lock, I ordered a tack form during the ride. I’m glad I did because the tack form mount is several orders of magnitude better at what it does compared to that quad lock piece of crap I used to use. I feel like a buffoon for using anything but the tackform. I’ve had no issues with my mount so far and I’m a legitimate dual sport rider, I ride woods and open road on my enduro bike.

Thanks for the feedback, I have not tried the quad lock but do see it on a few bikes here and there. I agree with you 100%, Tackform has been the best solution for me for many years. Glad you have the same experience as well.
      Thanks again and Ride safe
