Learn how to make letters look 3-D using 2-point perspective! I am using a 3B pencil, but mechanical pencils also work great with perspective work due to their sharp lines!

If you're asking about the front face of the letters, the top and bottom brush the converging lines (which makes them appear to get smaller in the distance), but the left and right sides of the letter faces MUST be completely vertical. It's natural to want to slant the sides as well, but we have to fight that urge and keep it straight up and down.
You are a good online-teacher. I learned a lot of you for drawing in perspective or drawing a portrait. I am annoyed by this tutorial. You speed up with drawing the letters and that is very confused. I stopped this video a lot.

this is missing the guidelines for spacing the letters as they recede into the distance.. you eyeballed it, but if people want to be accurate about it, watch a video on how to space fenceposts. (ie, making receding X's)

I'm sorry, but I was expecting two point perspective - paralel lines that meet at "left point" and "right point" at the same time. Fish eye.
