    Your cultivation advice for Tradescantia mundula ('Tricolor'/'Rainbow') is the best that I've seen. It was especially informative to see your demonstration of the root development of the new cuttings- something which most gardeners are hesitant to do.

    It’s definitely tricolour.. the quadricolour is a variegated version of the tradescantia zebrina. Leaves are much bigger x

    Beautiful plant! Do not have that one but would like it! I do have the nanook that has more succulent leaves....I love the tool you used to make holes in your dirt......where did you find that tool? These videos make me love this species of plant more! Thanks again and have a nice day!

      Currently propagating the Nanouk for a future video. The tool is just a plastic chopstick! Perfect as a gardening tool.

    Could you make a video how to grow this plant from a single cutting into something bushy? Quite often it’s sold as single, or max 2-3 cuttings on eBay etc!

    Great channel. I’ve been learning a lot. Thank you. Question on the stem that has been cut. Will the cut stem on the main plant continue to grow or does it stop there?

    • @SheffieldMadePlants
      @SheffieldMadePlants  Před rokem +2

      Thank you John. Yes the stem will shoot out a new stem lower down so the cut growth will be replaced.

    Quadricolour is a different variety to this… quad is effectively a variegated zebrina. Your tricolour has smaller leaves. I have both. Equally beautiful x

    I've never propagated in soil, do you keep the soil moist until it has roots or do you water when the soil gets dry as you would with a normal plant?

    Hi

    • @SheffieldMadePlants
      @SheffieldMadePlants  Před měsícem +1

      Needs more light probably and cut out the all green leaves/stems. They become dominant
