  • Carving from one of the world's hardest woods (Quebracho A.K.A The Axebreaker!!!!), I
have to take my hat off to Kutzall burrs and the dremel 4000, they took on one of the world's hardest woods and came through. Sure it definitely took longer to carve than normal though, this put the dremel to the test and me, Carving isn't easy sometimes.
Check out the thinness of the wings on the butterfly!
    Tools used Dremel 4000
    Kutzall burrs
    other burrs of unknown origin

Quebracho...this kind of wood is very appreciated in places like Argentina, where you can find it. It's used on doors, window, etc. Very nice video.

Fantastic job Matt. Very skilled work.
Adding a last coat of something always brings out the final beauty of a finished piece.

I love the carving. But have you ever heard of Mr. Werther's? There is a Werther's museum in Ohio where Mr. Werther's made a living after he retired carving trains out of ebony wood and ivory. Ebony wood is black as coal and is the strongest and hardest wood to carve he had to make his own carving knife so that had to be tempered at a special degree to carve his trains look him up on CZcams. Very good CarverPay attention to the detail that he has in his carving you will love the work.

No I have not heard of Mr. Warther's. So thank you just looked up on youtube those trains are amazing. Yeah thats quite a bit of detail. I make earrings out of old piano keys which are ebony, yes its a hard wood, and it polishes up beautifully. Thank you for letting me know. Matt

Hey Matt, you replied, you're a busy person carving beautiful works of art that some lucky person mad get to own. It's hard just getting by in 'normal times', let alone now. Greatful just to have known you even read it. Few youtuber channels actually do. The just send out the like etc. You took time. I'm very apprehensive, you know what you're doing. I dont and want to learn. Only learn from the best or you'll never be the best. My old man drummed that in🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🧙‍♂️🤔😁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿. (Wise man, greatly missed)
