      @Yumyumafrica  Před 3 lety +1

      this is durum semolina and you can make it with the white semolina same way as well. I cook the white as well.

    Thanks for sharing this video, how do you store this

    • @Yumyumafrica
      @Yumyumafrica  Před rokem +2

      You can store it in the fridge and just warm it up in the microwave when you need it. I have stored it for 2 weeks or more in the fridge.

    Please can you share the pack of semolina you use or name

    • @Yumyumafrica
      @Yumyumafrica  Před 3 lety +2

      The semolina used in the video is durum semolina from bulk stores. You can also use the white semolina as well. Here in Canada, we have different brands of the white one and they come as semolina #1(very fine-can lump easily) and semolina #2 (not as fine-preferred). There is also course semolina which will not work at all.

    What is the quantity of the flour please?

    • @Yumyumafrica
      @Yumyumafrica  Před 4 lety +3

      So sorry for responding so late.
      I generally eyeball the quantity of ingredients used as it is common practice in African cooking. A rough guide may be for one person serving, use 1 cup of flour mixed with 2 cups of cold water before adding it to about 2cups of boiling water on the stove or burner . When the mixture has cooked or boiled as shown in the video, add 2 cups of flour gradually to the mixture. You may need to add some more flour as needed to achieve a soft texture or consistency. I hope this helps a little.
