@@dbreiden83080 True. Ewing is certainly a Top 20 player though, imo. It's just Hakeem is simply a Top 10 player. People always blame Michael Jordan for not getting rings. Hakeem was that good. I'm of the notion that Hakeem was Jordan in a Centers body in terms of skill. Hakeem was supposed to get one & someone else was supposed to get one, to solidify their legacy. Specifically, between Patrick Ewing & Charles Barkley. Robinson, Payton, Malone still got a ring, whether cheap or not. I never saw Reggie Miller winning simply because he lacked the Physical frame to exude overt dominance like the Centers or Big men. Still great player though. The East was Stacked in the 90's

The Suns had the best record in the league in 93 and would have won if Jordan didn't ball out in the finals. Portland, Seattle and Utah were great teams that could also have won. That 95 Knicks team was right there and their 97 squad was arguably their best overall team. Kobe said MJ made it look too easy, no wasted movements, surgical and precise in MJ's approach of the game. Better passer? Please...🤦‍♂️ 7 straight triple doubles when he played point. If you go for stats then you can check out their assists and assists/turnover..
Range, that's the most underrated part of MJ's game but whenever he needed to shoot 3s, he's good at it the more he does it. As a great shooter himself, Ray Allen also said that. @@swaglad9728 AGREED honestly i cant even take the mj arguments seriously because they made him into a living god while downplaying a top 2 of all time nba coach, top 50 player in pippen, best post defender/rebounder in rodman, best 6th man in kukoc, and all those great role players

The memories... Hugh Hollins saved them in game five. That was the mad late call on Horace Grant. What a crock. Pippen balled his behalf off in that series, the Tony Kukoc incident notwithstanding.

My 2nd favorite team after the Detroit Pistons. Hard nosed, never say die, true fighters. You cannot be mad when you lose to Jordan or Hakeem. They were just great.

THANK YOU BOMANI!!! I've been trying to educate so many people online on the weakness of the Eastern conference and my argument has always been "starting in '80s, every year, there are only 1 or 2 legit contenders for the championship." And everyone tries to act like because the Celtics and Bulls won so many titles that that means the conference was good.
Hey what do you think of a conference-less league? Is it possible? Is it good?
