My wife has drove a Lexus SUV for 15 years. Our neighbor worked at the local LR dealership and constantly was after me to trade for one. I finally told him I would come and look at one. We drove a Velar and on the test drive it lost power and we had to be towed back to the dealership.😂🙈 He insisted that this never happens but we ended up trading our 2015 RX for a 2021 RX Hybrid. No regrets there but we do have our eye on the new GX or Land Cruiser!
I would definitely check out the 2024 GX. That’s the vehicle I have my eyes set on.

@@will4417 a range rover with a direct injection inline 6 mild hybrid, supercharger and turbo charger, yes it is. its a land rover after all. but who cares if you got deep pockets just have henderson your chauffer take it to the shop for you. range rover the only vehicle that's unreliable while under warranty 🤣

Beautiful exterior. The interior of my 2023 KIA Sorrento looks much nicer. JLR needs to make the interior match the price.

that new infotainment screen is the biggest downgrade ever!! the old one had such unique look with the dials in the screen. This looks like a cheap cost cutting glued on tablet. what a let down

I absolutely love the exterior looks of this vehicle. The interior is OK, but controlling everything with one screen is a terrible inconvenience. And as we know, everything else regarding Range Rover vehicles is abysmal.
It’s funny how he did not mention anything about the brands outstanding reliability lol I guess he did not want to piss them off. Made the mistake of buying one once and will never do it again.

The dash isn’t hard touch plastic as he’s claiming. It’s like a squishy material that looks like a wet suit, but it’s not plastic.

Im curious. I love the evoque, is this not the same exact vehicle? It looks almost identitical. I suppose it does seem a big larger maybe? Evoque by far is the ONLY SUV i would ever enjoy owning. I hate suv's w a passion
Oh no, this is substantially larger than the Evoque.
The Evoque is front wheel drive, engine sits differently, and is a smaller vehicle. The Evogue just started the new design trend(when it was introducedl) for Land Rover when it was released. Which is why the styling looms all very "family".

Don’t get the 4 cylinder I had a 2020 model in red with the blackout trim looked phenomenal got plenty of looks and compliments back when it was less common BUT…. It was SLOWWWWW.
Unless you're in love with the shape of this thing, I don't understand why anyone would buy this. Land Rover products are famous for being off road capable ( not the Evoque) and luxurious inside. This Velar is neither! I think I'd but pretty much any other choice over this.

A handsome but flawed car. For that price point it can’t have all the issues pointed out in the video. Plus, there is always relatability issues with JLR products, that I experienced myself having owned two Jags and one Landrover
When I think of Land Rover, I think of maintenance costs. It is nice looking though.
Tbh I really don’t like Apple CarPlay. It’s so generic and bland looking compared to each car’s design theme.
Regarding the placement of the infotainment screen, it’s unfortunate that so many interior design is to place a major visual element so far below the eye line of driving. Imo this makes you prone to distraction and not seeing a hazard.
Idc it’s unreliable I’ll pick it over the competition the GV80 might win me over slightly tho.

I currently am leasing one. It’s ok, nothing to sing home about. Would I lease it again No. There’s just a lot better options out there. I came from Audi and a lot inside the Velar honestly just seems cheap. Guess they put all the money in the Sport and up trims. It’s too bad to because I absolutely love the outer design of the Velar if only the interior matched.

Never purchase these foreign vehicles , lease it , get it out your system and then get rid of it when the contract expires because they are not worth the hassle at mechanic shops

Redline Reviews : obviously Rover manufacturer is paying all the outlets all over the world to present these vehicles as normal vehicles with prestige tone....when in reality Range Rovers are one of the top 5 MOST UNRELIABLE cars in the world and one of the top 10 MOST POORLY BUILT cars in the world.
