I've always loved the contrast between the campaigns here, the american briefing sounded so methodical, laidback and even almost desperate for their battle to end as soon as possible, while the russians were hellbent in quenching their thirst for vengance with three times the blood that they lost fighting the germans.
I'm predicting now that they will make another world war 2 cod, but they will pussy out on the gore. Hopefully I'm wrong about the gore, because that was what made this game truly special and brutal. This was the final cod that resembled war. In any case, if you are reading this Sly, I hope you make compilations of Battlefield 1 and Mafia 3 when those come out.

There is a rockstar game where you fight against Brazilian gangs though, it's not COD but it's worth playing if you like to play a shooter taking place in Brazil. You might've already figured out that I'm talking about Max Payne 3. It's not first-person, but still a great game.

Well thats what happened historically in Germany when the red army reached Berlin they murdered and raped hundreds of thousands of women, children elderly no one was off limits. It was revenge for what the Germans did in operation Barbarossa they committed atrocities all throughout the soviet union so I don't think it has that propaganda undertone. As for Americans taking prisoners I do think it was unrealistic mostly because the Japanese very rarley surrendered and if they did you'd think well trained marines that have been in combat for so long would no better then to be much more apprehensive and many times American soldiers did straight up shoot surrendering or pleading enemy's, but imo it made for a good ending to the Pacific campaign.
This game had the most emotion. The music, the brutality and the overall darkness. Gives you that uneasy, evil vibe that must of lingered at such a time of human tragedy. What a game!
Fire Gryphon a .30 cal will not rip a man in half; neither will an MG42. Also frag grenades do not explode in the traditional sense. They spew shrapnel, which rarely ever causes dismemberment.
I forgot about the sick amount of detail they put into this game. The developers questioned morality in a videogame.. in a very in your face, yet skillfully subtle manor ... 1.The ability to put wounded soldiers down like broken race horses. 2. The friendly fire...and the guilt that came with it.
Fun Fact : I watch this video now on 2024, so the age when I see this video now to it's making is as old as this video to The CoD Waw when it's first released.
It just shows what's happened to Call of Duty when people see WAW and say, "Hey! That's Reznov from BO1" and don't see BO1 and say, "Hey! That's Reznov from WAW"
