  • This island is believed to be where the Austronesian language heritage came from. Some of the tribes there share common genes with the Igorots of the Cordillera region of the Philippines, as well as all of the Filipino tribes. Let's take a look what happened in history.

      Start with the origins of austronesians....as far as from the mainland china.

      @@birdman- There is no link between East Asians to the Austronesian people of Formosa in genetics at all but the possibility is always there. I've compiled a number of information but they are all mere theories which is so difficult to back up.

    • @birdman-
      @birdman- Před 2 lety

      @@FDGSTAGES I can't remember exactly but there were many theories about pre-austronesian origins. Some are from Yangtze and some are from Southern China near the border of indo China. Those who went eastwards became austronesians and those who went westward are now in northern india.

    Very interesting.I am a mizo in Mizoram N.E India.We believe that our ancestors migrated from China through Burma( some still live in Burma,and some in the other north eastern states) I have watched the movie you mentioned some years back and was very surprised to see the similarity of their costumes.I will watch it again and comment it again.Our ancestors are also head hunters .We have a dance known as Cheraw( bamboo dance so to say to make it clear).I hope to learn more about us from you.

      That's true about coming from China, we have the same theory. Our ancestors were taken from Formosa/Taiwan to be their (chinese)slaves, later run away during the construction of the great wall of China. So the Chinese Army followed to recapture them so they separated into groups and spread into different Directions so as the Chinese Army can't catch them... That is how our forefathers settlement took place all around the world😊😊😊

    I hope you can make another video: Death of Oceanic or Death of America. How European settlers arrived there raping Indigenous land centuries ago, establishing today's country Australia, New Zealand, America or Canada.
    Do those Formosa Indigenous speak Austronesians? At least I know lots of others defined as minority ethnic not Indigenous, who speak Han or dialect, not your language Austronesians.

    when the Han people conquered the Formosa island, their culture would gradually be erased little by little and replaced by the Han Chinese culture.. Sad but true
