also, you can try to cheer up the sad sim by someone they have high bar with (idk, spouse, child) and it helps a lot. it can remove the sadness emotion after death!
or you can just eat a cowplant cake!! miraculous plants those are
and calling the sadness hotline makes it go away faster too, im definitely gonna have my sims hug their pets and see if it’s faster 😌

I have had a mare of a day playing Sims 4. By Sim's eldest daughter went to university as a teen. She was doing great. Then, her uncle Dan, died of old age , her boyfriend was killed by a Chicken, then here uncle Brooks died of old age, followed by her aunties Anastasia and Cindy (mothers to the science baby with werewolf DNA) and her cat died. Her auntie Robin died. So, I was going all over the worlds collecting urns and as her brother was picking up the cat's urn when the whole family got a call saying someone had died. Oh and her parents had two more children while she was at University. So, all the headstones are in the cemetery and I go back to Britechester to find it was you guessed it right, Kristen who had died. She fell off a building leaving her Proper Celebrity and Patron of the Arts granddad's hard earned easel and photos of her parents. And her own urn. I had to save and exit the game and watch TV instead. I hope I can get her stuff back. I've only had Discover University two weeks so it's very new to me who never went to Uni and I'm 52 yrs old. 😂

as soon as simsie dropped it i was in love! then I started furnishing all my sims houses in pink, later I changed my phone theme to pink, bought some pink accessories and now I'm waiting for a whole package full of pink cute clothes

Every single one of those “bugs” have been a part of my regular game play for so long that I just patiently play thru it. It’s weird to see it happening to someone with a much better computer system tho.

Lilsimsie trying to throw a family reunion reminds me of Lord of the Rings, where they throw a birthday party for Bilbo and Frodo. In the movie (I can't remember if he says it in the book, but some kind of convo probably happens) Frodo comments to Gandalf something along the lines of "half the Shire has been invited, and the other half are turning up anyway" I don't think the party system in the Sims is built to handle Legacy Challenges 😂😂😂

quick tip by the way when I get overwhelmed because of my sims I always pause it then go through their need individually and queue up what they need then unpause
Yeah I do that too! I think Lilsimsie rarely unpauses because it’s less entertaining for the viewers. While big fans (like myself) don’t care and would love longer episodes with pauses in them but new viewers might find it boring? I’m not sure but I know a main reason is to keep everyone entertained and let the storyline continue going (because you cant pause irl)
She likes to do just the opposite: triple speeding while focusing on one sim at a time
6:46 the reason Baby wasn’t adding the birthday candles is because of simulation lag. The main cause of simulation lag is speeding up time. When Sims are refusing to do what you want, the only way to fix it is to stop speeding up time. It is counter-intuitive, but that’s why Sims stand there and do nothing.
I had a great time at family reunions, I've had 3 so far with 0 issues.

Giving yourself a pep talk in the mirror is by far the best way to get rid of sadness. The moodlet goes down way faster than crying it out or hugging a pet, and I've had Sims spend a couple hours giving themselves a pep talk the day someone died, and they were no longer sad at the end of the day. Just doing the interaction 3-7 times makes the moodlet go down by a lot, so it's easier to do that than other things. At least as far as I'm concerned. There might be a way to lessen the moodlet better than a pop talk, but in my experience in the Sims 4, it's the best method.
Another episode of absolute chaos. I love this legacy family so much, it's so entertaining.

It is super annoying that when you go over to other sims houses you get yelled at for cooking a meal yet they can go in my fridge and spend all my money on cakes. The most annoying glitch, like can't they at least make edible food?

What I've learned playing the Sims 4 is you need to operate under pressure. The game's way of dealing with interactions is very weird as certain ones always override other interactions. That's why the toddler wasn't being fed or bathed correctly. Others on the lot had that queued up and were cancelling out your Sim's attempts. Same with the cake. As soon as it was baked at least one Sim had queued up an interaction with it. The best way to deal with all these is pattern recognition. Sim not feeding the baby? Check all other household members interaction queue. Need to put candles on the cake? Line that up immediately so it will override any "Grab Slice" interactions.
I just watched every episode from the beginning and after a month I’m finally caught up…. how am I supposed to wait a week 😩😩😩

I thought it was just me that was having lag issues. It's been doing that in my game since growing together came out. I have it playing but time just doesn't move. It's very frustrating.

the constant cake making is the foodies unite neighborhood action. it’s constantly on in my game so cheat it away. if not i have like 10 cakes half finished anytime someone visits or even my sims would just do it autonomously.
I disable NAP voting, so much easier than repealing it every sim week. The cakes do also seem to be an issue with stayovers, I wouldn't be surprised if the background mechanic of "help with cooking" is similar to the foodie NAP.

Can't be 100% sure about a vampire. My mint-generation Sim is a spellcaster and her pink-generation son (young adult) is a vampire (lives in a basement room with a coffin and other paraphernalia, with a sofa, chair, and desk all pink). Fortunately, the potion of plentiful needs the spellcaster sim makes work on vampires as well. So, no need for her son to feed on humans or drink plasma. One potion of plentiful needs gets all needs (thirst as well) back to 100%. Very handy.
My stay over guests did the same thing with the cakes, but my sims actually came to rely on them. My guests would start making a cake and then my sims would finish it and then her and her kids would eat the cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner then my guests would start making another cake....

I've been having the White Cake glitch for SO LONG! Whenever I have a guest in my house, they just bake White Cakes nonstop and it's SO ANNOYING
Right before the game got laggy and buggy, MCCC showed a Last Exception report in your notifications. You can check to see what mod or other problem was causing the game glitchiness.
