I disable it in my game since I feel it needs a bit more tweaking. Those burnouts need some tweaking too. My sim started to burnout 1 day in of her half day working normally.
I’m literally so sick of my sims mom that I’m debating to just kill her off my sim is an adult no so might as well and start a sims family 🤷♀️🤷♀️ I’m tired of her crying and being angry

I took forever to play the history challenge in the sims 4 because my sims were constantly miserable and it stressed me out. then they came out with sentiments and all my sims started having loving sentiments towards each other and boosting their moods. the few bad moods happened like when my sim's fiancee got mad I refused to add her to the household EVEN THOUGH SHE LITERALLY COULDN'T MOVE IN I HAD 8 SIMS ALREADY anyway I had to marry off his sister and move her in and even then it took multiple instances of him apologizing to her before the hurt sentiment would go away XD
Of course Gary is Evil. He never got to go to a single prom...omg he is not MISSING winterfest. I fully support his villian arc. It's valid.

I just came here to say that I downloaded your family and Baby's house, just so I could add them to my current save. I absolutely love going out to a community lot and seeing Baby there, just grabbing some chips and juice. It makes me so giddy every time. 😂

The mid life crises can be rough! One of my Sims got one that made him want a divorce (with a toddler and baby on the way). Luckily I could ignore that "task" and the midlife crisis cleared cause that was not a story line I wanted. 😅

Wow! Mine got one when he was lvl 9 out of 10 in the fitness career and he just wanted to do anything but fitness! I was so mad because he couldn't max his career until it cleared up

I always always make my sims use their points to get that frugal trait so that even if they live in a fancy house the bills don't surpass 3000

none of my sims have had a midlife crisis yet but one of my sim got “burned out” which i’ve never seen before, i had to make her take a few days off work and she had to relax for a few days, watch tv, order pizza instead of cook, spend time with her dog
This seems much more common since the infant update.
i took a beach vacation and they were better
One of my main sims has had like 20 burnouts cuz she is the main income and then I got a midlife crisis for her and out of autonomy she divorced my sim (they were both mad and then started fighting then that happened but still), and they had twin toddlers and a teen (who after the divorce moved in with his girlfriend) and the twins went with their parent that didn't try to divorce the other and now they are living in their dead grandmother's house, and the other parent is living in the 3 bedroom house in Brindelton Bay.
I love this series so much! I've been watching since episode 1 and I'm so glad it won't end after gen 10!

I like the crossover idea, but you have to put that new family into that saved file, or else all the family tree genealogy will disappear

I know Kayla says not to worry about the entire playlist, and I agree it isn't necessary to watch current episodes. I do however highly recommend watching it for the beginning because the first 5 gens are the best imo with the most interesting characters. You feel more attached to them and the siblings and it's still super chaotic without some of the anxiety that comes through now. Again, just how I feel but I feel like it was the Anna show for multiple gens and other personalities and lives were pushed to the side. Now it's been so focused on infants that Silver feels forgotten and not even part of the family. Sorry for the rant but for anyone new the first half of the legacy is wonderful and wacky. (Also, Barb was helping for a week without plasma packs...what did you expect? I'm surprised she made it that long.)

The life spans were lengthened with the HSY patch and then again with the infant update. A sim's lifespan used to average around 85 days on normal lifespan, now it's 132. Obviously halve that for short lifespan, but it's still a massive increase.
I literally can never get the grim reaper to go away unless I add him to my family, go somewhere else, and then remove him. It’s a bit of a pain actually lmao
I hope when Silver becomes an adult he has a kid named Jingle Bell because everyone has been wanting it for generations, it’s gen 10, and Silver Bell is already kind of Christmas-y

I'm playing a lepacy in the Sims 3 right now (for those unaware, it's just a legacy but a new expansion pack is introduced with every new generation), and my Generations heir started having a midlife crisis. Anyways, so far he has divorced his wife, flirted with the maid, gotten several dramatic haircuts, quit his LEVEL 9 job as a scientist (that was his lifetime wish up until that point), and is now a single parent living with his brother's family on their ranch. I'm half devastated cause I really thought he and his wife were gonna be, like, together forever. Literally almost every single male heir I have had has divorced their wives lol. I ignored the desire to divorce his wife at first, but then it came back. I took it as a sign that he really wanted it, even if their relationship bar was full. . If midlife crises in the Sims 4 are as brutal as the Sims 3, God help Baby (and Kayla, but mostly Baby)..

I feel like the Sims has a lot of random quirks these days. My sim got pregnant and was, I kid you not, first trimester pregnant for 7 FULL SIM DAYS. I tried everything I could until I reloaded the game and she was FINALLY in her second trimester 😂

If the Grim Reaper gets stuck on your lot, try shift-clicking on him and add him to your family, then shift-click on him again and remove him from your family. He always gets stuck on my lot and this trick fixes him everytime. 🙂

A tip for when grim reaper is stuck on your lot, add him to the household and go away when you play as him and delete him from the household

Always getting left behind because he's not Baby's biological son and was introduced before the infant update (And already a child anyway iirc). Honestly I would've preferred if the original plans to make him a farmer would've worked out but I guess him not getting a happy ending just makes sense narratively speaking too.
