  • This video focuses on material mixing and building detailing in Enshrouded. By mixing materials in smart ways you can make your builds look a lot better. This video is part one of a two part video for a small medieval inspired blacksmith hut. The second part is about indoor detailing and integrating the blacksmith crafting benches in a natural way in the build.

    You can find the "second part" about all the detailing for the blacksmith station and some other stuff on this build, including showcase of the final build here: czcams.com/video/FLyeZIb1710/video.html

    You can also put another layer of roof on top of the existing roof to hide the walls sticking out.

      Yep. Several different ways to solve it. With different pros and cons. You can also just have a finer beam of a different roof material going just in front of the wall below the roof hiding the gaps.

      I just add a single roof tile beneath the roof to link to the tiered wall.

    I never thought to make a wall of roof tiles to solve that problem... I usually either double up the roof or just make a huge wall O'window/fencing if I'm to lazy to double up...great ideas as always

    Love it, wish i had patience and skill to build smth like this. Which prebuilds are worth doing in enshrouded?

    • @Ketmo785
      @Ketmo785  Před 2 měsíci

      Thank you. Not sure I understand what you mean with pre build. Like I did using one material first and then work on detail? If that is the case then I think it is a good process in general to get the rough shapes down first with little effort and then work on detail and materials once you get a general idea of where everything should be. A little bit like painting and making a sketch before adding all the detail and colour.

    I always build two layers of roof to hide the tiles :) oh see other ones too :) buuut your tips are great

    • @Ketmo785
      @Ketmo785  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Thank you. Yep, as others also have suggested, double roof works to. And you don't even have to do double roof for the whole roof. You can just ad the existing roof as an extra layer between the gabel and the roof in the "holes"

    I love this building but trying to make it myself and I'm struggling with floorplan and room sizes... any chance for a how to make the base building video or schematic please?

    • @Ketmo785
      @Ketmo785  Před 2 dny

      Hi. Unfortunately it would be a lot of work to make a schematic, time that I don't have right now. During the summer I have a lot less time for gaming and making videos so I will probably even struggle to get videos out at all until after summer. I have made a few videos about other games lately but I for sure will get back to Enshrouded and when I do I'll keep the suggestion of a build guide of the base house in mind. I'm sorry I can't make any promises. This is a late night hobby after my kids have gone to bed so time for gaming and videomaking can sometimes be very much lacking.

    Awesome video! Can't wait to see part two! I love building, but doing interiors aren't really my favorite to do. Lots of great tips in this video, especially the roof pieces to close those horrid gaps! =D

      Since I only have editing left on that video and made pretty much all the recording of it prior to the new update it unfortunately has nothing of the Hallow Halls stuff but hopefully it will be worth a watch anyway. but the build after that will.

      Sure go ahead and send a friend request. I haven't really set up any business mail and stuff like that for my YT since it is still very much hobby level
