I think after a while crafting we forget the basics and these ideas are a good reminder of what we already have on hand.

Im home sick in bed with fever...but when you said cheap as chips i could not stop laughing. So funny the sayings we have and im in the US so that was a new one for me. 😊 I keep a personal journal and pictures are a big part of it!
Ahh now chips in U.K. are what you call fries but ours are cut fatter .. ha ha ..and I added a folio element to my Jan journal on purpose for photos xx
My mother in law always gets me the most interesting soaps for Christmas for my stocking. I save the wrappers because they are so beautiful. I love using old planners from the office. I have about four ready to go when I finish my current one.
Yes soaps come in great packing they have them in TK max here and they are stunning xx
Thanks for the excellent reminder of how we can reuse & recycle common items we already have in our homes. Watching as I have coffee this icy morning. Reiterating NOT to collect or save a ton of items we may never use is always good; I keep telling this to myself every day. Thanks for sharing!

Ha ha ha been there and when I move to a much smaller house had to get rid of heaps uugh.. So I made a pact with myself to not hoard things ( well hoard less anyhow ha ha ha ) x
I love the idea of adding a calling card to each journal you make! Those cards were so cute. I pick up all of the children’s cards I can find, but I can only use so many. 15:10
Yeah I tend to collect a few then stop even if I see more to ensure I am using things but little cards can be used to just slip in pockets for fun xx

Super video Amanda!! Think we have all become a bit obsessed with all the latest trends products etc. my aim this year is to certainly go back to basics and enjoy my craft rather than feel pressured into creating in a certain way.
I have so many photographs of family and little holidays. You certainly hit the nail on the head with the photos!!!

Great video Amanda, I didn't know about embossing aluminum foil, I'll have to give that a go! My husband is the same with envelopes if I don't get to the mail first! I miss having real film to develop, I don't get as many printed as I know I should. It's easy to take a million photos with phones and digital cameras so that's all on me not getting them printed, thanks for the gentle reminder! 🥰🥰🥰

Brilliant video, great ideas. I must admit I am on the point of over-hoarding all these things and not using them, but I am now making a note of the type of journals I want to make and what to include, and I have stopped hoarding further items!😁 Thanks for sharing these ideas.

Great vid Amanda I never know what to put in journals I know it must seem stupid but nothing ever seems to look right I am still learning so thank you , and your children and dog are sooooo adorable made me smile so cute 😊. My son owns a garage and I get messy envelopes too x
