Don't let it keep you away, I personally enjoyed the sector, even the warp maze, which I got through by drawing a map of my own. If you want to keep the experience pure I'd recommend that instead of looking at a guide, but ofc do whatever is the most fun
I found the sector to be mostly fun except for that maze, which wasn't unbearable but I did find it to be frustrating
