Since the Fever played against Taurasi and Griner, the hazing seems to be subsiding against Caitlin. She's still the number one focus on opposing team defenses and will be getting more pressure than anyone in the league, but the hazing and roughing up hopefully will cease.

@@pcr517 right? I think for most people itâs the money. The top 4 make the most. But in her case, I believe she wanted to go to the Fever to stay close to home. Near her family. I think they take care of her pretty much. Sheâs a Midwest girl and her support base is in Iowa, Indiana, Kansas and Minnesota. Plus she has a lucrative deal with Hyvee who only supports athletes in the Midwest. Also, Gainbridge, who owns the arena is paying her 500k a yearâŠ.and she has other local sponsors in the Midwest. she could have gotten the Nike deal anywhere. But if thatâs where her base supporters are, then the arenas will continue to sell out, whereas in other parts of the country might fade outâŠShe might have preferred the Lynx as itâs only 4 hours from her home. ( thatâs the Coach who hates her anyway, lol) But the WNBA doesnât get to choose like the top guys in the NBA who can negotiate with teamsâŠAll said though, who could have predicted all of this hate? Hopefully it will die down after her Rookie year.
The best part was that Young patted her on the back for encouragement. Back in the day when I ran DI in college, I always made sure to shake as many peoples' hands as I could after the race; that was how we were raised. We need to get back to that.

Don't forget the Aces player who cursed CC after CC swatted her on the ear. After her teammates saw that CC had batted away a rebounding ball from hitting her in the back of her head, she and her teammates came onto the court and apologized to CC for their rudeness. Maybe the ice is melting.
That was against Phoenix, not Las Vegas.

When the Fever miss the playoffs, the true effect will be felt throughout this league. Hopefully the league sees this and addresses the poor coaching CC has and influences change. I was very happy to see Jackie Young showing a positive gesture toward CC. I hope more players show grace toward each other. Fantastic leadership from the vet Jackie Young. Actually, it was a great game vs the Champs. Alot of class was showcased on that court! Want to see more unity, and sportsmanship, that sells!
I think there is a lot less animosity towards Clark these past couple of weeks from current players. Even Lexi Brown gave her flowers. Brown stated Clark is number 1 on the scouting reports after saying not very complimentary things previously. The scouting videos are the proof the veterans needed to realize Clark is the real deal. I think Reese is the real deal too!. And I bet at least twice as many people know who Aja Wilson is now due to the attention the rookies are bringing into the league.
What makes you think fever will miss the playoffs the two teams that can beat them to the playoffs has to play three more games than the fever does so odds are fever makes the playoffs

I hope all the WNBA players will follow Ms. Young's lead and be more supportive of CC's contributions to the game. Sell out crowds, needing bigger buildings, planes rather than buses to travel in, CC's talents are on full display, new fans growing day by day, what does this mean? Larger profits, healthier salaries for coaches, managers, players, everyone benefits from her popularity. I am impressed with the amount of time CC takes signing autographs, giving souvenirs to the young fans. That will pay off in future benefits as time goes along. Signing autographs is a long forgotten tradition in professional sports these days, I am excited CC is reviving this lost tradition. It is sorely needed to reconnect with the next generation of fans. That reminds me of how catchers and home plate umpires have each other's back! As long as there are no runners on base, an ump will walk the ball out to the pitcher if the catcher gets hit by the wild pitch. This gives the catcher a couple of moments to "walk it off"! The catcher does the same thing if the ump gets hit! Nothing is said, it's just automatic. Classy!

Caitlin Clark and the Fever played their best game against the LV Aces, keeping pace with the best team in the league - WNBA Champions, but was out performed by the LV Aces absolute awesome play making dominance by Aja Wilson and Kelsey Plum, particularly in the 4th Quarter when the Fever seemed to run out of juice.
The LV Aces aren't the best team in the league for nothing, ala Michael Jordon, Scotty Pippen - The Chicago Bulls
More than the LV Aces players dominance of the game, what I really liked about the LV Aces was their professionalism and respect for the other team.
In one moment when Caitlin Clark was tying her shoes to take a breather after a hard fall, LV Ace Jackie Young joined in helping Caitlin Clark by tying her shoes aside Caitlin Clark .. showing class, true professional respect for the other team, in direct contrast to Chicago Sky's trash taking hate, personal verbal and physical on court assault attacks against Caitlin Clark

I wish I couldâve act with the grace at her age that CC exudes. Heck I wish I acted like her now⊠many moons from my 20âs. I must say I love Jackieâs gesture. I see more and more little gestures. However the way Diana Turisa acted towards CC, made my day. Iâm not exaggerating. I put out a lot of video comments about DT and the other jealous players. IMO the league is coming around and embracing the gift horse. The initial resentments or bitterness has withered while being replaced with a Clark inspired commonality of enjoyment.
Sportsmanship is an old fashion concept. Perhaps it will catch on again.
I'm not sure if it's "basic human decency". I imagine that if I was on the court and someone fell down [that wasn't obviously seriously injured] I would play on UNLESS I had something to do with the fall. I would assume that the player in this case is classier than I am and for me to recognize that it would seem like a substantial act IMHO.
