  • Getting your child to eat is a special kind of challenge, because despite the fact that a healthy diet is so important to their development, ultimately the choice is theirs to make.
As parents, we try our best to get our kids to eat healthy foods, but we usually reach a point where we would rather give them something they'll eat rather than letting them go hungry. So we give in and make something not-so-healthy, but something we know they'll eat.
Today, I've got some great information for you about kids' nutritional needs, as well as some tips for helping them make healthy choices on their own, try some new foods, and restore happy mealtimes to your dinner table.

So glad I found this video. My 2 yr old would rather have a bottle of milk than food. He has milk with each meal but doesn't eat alot of real food

My 20 month old doesn't want to sit on his highchair and starts screaming. He refuses to eat without screen time. I don't know what to do. He's becoming a tyrant and the least I want to do is force him because that'll traumatize him. He eats so well if I let him watch tho. But I really want him to feed himself.

I ACCEPT your challenge! My 15 month old eats about 6 bites of food total a day!! She loves cucumbers and seaweed but that is it! I have tried almost everything but no change. She still nurses but not enough to gain much weight. From month 12 to month 15 she has not gained any weight!! I feel like a failure and cry myself to sleep every night. If you look at her, you would not think anything is wrong because she hits all of her milestones, she is very smart, sleeps well, and has lots of energy. This solid rejection has lead me into depression. Any advice? I am open to all advice.

What about fruits? You can increase her calories by adding heavy cream or butter to her meals.

    • @bluebear2301
      @bluebear2301 Před 4 lety

@@FetaSake she likes most fruits but not enough of it to gain any weight. She dislikes cream and butter unfortunately. So I will try sneaking some coconut milk here and there and she will just take one sip or bite and it's over. Now, i am just working on trying to make mealtime without any distractions. See how that goes.

My 22 month old toddler still has blended food and refuses to take in any solid...he would chew on it and then throw it out....what do i do?? It's really overwhelming😔😔

  • @ravechick13

I just wait for my toddler to say she wants to eat. I tried forcing her and tried eating in front of her and anything and everything to get her to eat but of course none of it worked so now if she's hungry, she has to get my attention or else she goes hungry and it's on her. Sounds harsh but it works! My only problem is she likes junk food which was my mistake to ever give to her but it's just so easy to give a baby something sweet or unhealthy when they're acting up and now it's a problem.

My daughter is 11.5 months old, she takes forever to eat vs being a picky eater. She is still being breastfed but soon I'll be weaning her off of it and was wondering how long do I allow her to eat if I were to offer food every 2 hours? On avg it takes 1 hour for meals.

      Same story!
My 1st kid was the same!
What i did wrong was i kept feeding her for one long hour to make sure she finishes her portion
Now she's 8 years old and she doesn't like the topic Food!
So my dear friend please don't feed your child more than 20 minutes
      Set an alarm
Do it for a week and letme know
      Coz it's tried and tested!
After 20 mins our brain signals to the body to stop eating coz the stomach feels full and the kid is not hungry.
Only if we ever listened to our bodies truly!

Hi.my 13 month eats rarely n have egg, milk and soy allergy.i breastfeed him exclusively.i tried a lot of food options with him but he will just not eat. Also he hates his high chair, the chair is very comfortable.he used to sit on it when he was 6-8 months but he just does not like it now.so I just spread a sheet on floor n try to feed him.He would just crush food between his fingers or play with it ,but won’t eat .he is also teething.

@@bluebear2301 Yes, getting better all thanks to my wife, who puts lots of efforts, now my son eating chicken, banana several types of biscuit and nuggets. But Good thing he only drink water and milk, no other things.
She boycott him from mobile and other TV stuff and focused on playing with him and feeding while playing games such as puzzle, magnet puzzle, blocks etc.
