  • Third in a series of brief animated videos by Dr. Jim Hopper and Kat Duesterhaus, focuses on freezing responses that commonly happen at the beginning of sexual assaults and other traumas: Detection Freezing, Shocked Freezing, and No-Good-Choice Freezing. While people who have been assaulted may say "I froze" to refer to a variety potential responses, it can be very helpful to understand scientifically defined forms/phases of "freezing" and distinguish them from other immobility and passive responses. First- person plural narration by Kat, a sexual assault survivor.
