  • You have probably seen a number of Holocaust movies. But you have never seen a film that looks and feels like Son of Saul. Set in Auschwitz in 1944, this is one man's story and you are right there with him the entire time. The writer/director and cinematographer discuss with David Poland how they conceived the film and the look.

Again thanks for this wonderful time. Once every bad 5 minutes "interviews" fade from memory, yours will abide.

I feel 80% of the value of this movie is the cinematography and the sound, but specially the Cinematography. I don´t know how much is the voice of László in the cinematography design or the voice of Mátyás. I am anxious to see what Lászlo does next and if he keeps doing this same style that used since With a Little Patience or moves into other forms of expression. I am really curious to see also other Mátyás´s work.

It is so annoying that Lászlo Nemes does not let Mátyás to talk! As soon as Mátyás open his mouth, which happens few times only due to the fact that Lázslo is always answering...then Mátyás gets interruped by him. Directors need to be more humble and shut up!
