    Not a commodity, not a raconteur, not a charismatic hero, not cute or nice or cool or whatever..... He seems autonomous! It is very refreshing to listen to Geza. It is unusual to see an actor with an unapologetic intellect. I wish him all the best and more work!

    You can see the intelligence in their eyes without even before/without hearing them speak. What an achievement. This film is incredibly well thought, designed, created, edited, played and directed.

    Géza Röhrig is so eloquent! Finally got to see this film in Australia and it blew me away. Great direction by Nemes, and a brilliant performance by Röhrig.

    Such a privilege to hear from these amazing artists. I could never stand the 4 minutes commercial snippets that the movie staff have to usually go trough. This channel is the proof that size matters. Thanks.

    Interviewer does everything he can to run from the subject. Actor forces him back. The subject is bigger than shooting a movie.

    excruciatingly shallow and naive questions for such a masterpiece film and performance. i think it's very sloppy, i feel like the interviewer did not prepare at all or was just prepared for a monotone conversation. the interviewer just heard what he wanted to hear. when he had plenty of chances to go deeper, he just ruined substantial, in depth answers given to him. what a waste of an opportunity!

    Strongest ever made film on this matter of man-made disaster.The interviewer make them talk out of the ordinary typical questions and out of his own ignorance of the subject ...
    very interesting ...

    Having had nightmares about the Holocaust since childhood,I do not look forward to seeing this film, but MUST. Although not Jewish, my Catholic family members were exterminated by Nazis because they fell into a certain "age groups" and were sent to the "crematorium" as my Polish cousin told me.

    apparently, these 2 hungarian guys just woke from 30-40 year comas & discovered holocaust; the subject has been done to death for decades. (they shoulda just watched the 100s of movies & docs already made.) not sure i buy their back stories, either.

      +jIawrence when they say people are not completely aware of genocides happened in the past and happening nowadays they are talking about you. apparently. idiot.

      Soul Von Du - your reply makes no sense (big surprise). i'll repeat relevant bits of my comment for your benefit: "the subject [of the holocaust] has been done to death for decades." meaning: westerners (esp americans) are well-"aware" of your 70-yr-old, lavishly-compensated.(unprecedented) holocaust. fyi, world history is full of massacres & UNcompensated genocides that deserve MORE attention than they get. so enough already; get off our screens & TV schedules. if you must continue to fondle your holocaust fetish, simply re-watch "the 100s of holocaust movies & docs already made."
      _capisce?_.

      +jIawrence as a Hungarian, you can´t imagine what our history went through. And I have seen a lot of holocaust films and I can say the same. I respect it and I´m so sorry for the people but in my opinion that wasn´t the only holocaust in the world´s history. But! This film is important because I think Hungary has never made a movie about holocaust like that. The people don´t really know about what in Hungary happened. You know what I mean? And Hungary has never won Golden Globe or anything else. :) It´s a really big thing! And also. That´s the beauty of the movie industry. Always the same things with a little difference. It´s about creativity.

      @jiawrence9745 Před 8 lety +1

      Melinda Tóth - Well, if we're talking Hungarian history & movies, I'd like to see a good Hungarian film about the 1956 Hungarian Revolt that was crushed by the Soviets (without US lifting a finger). That IS an under-reported bit of Cold War history and a tragedy. But I stand by my comment/s about this film.
