Thank you for posting the names of your plants. It helps a lot to us newbies..lol!😊🌷
You’re welcome!😃 I will do that more often. 🌸
I agree with you the pink plants are nice!
Thank you 😊
You garden is beautiful despite the water restrictions.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you. The excessive heat along with inconsistent watering takes a toll during the summer. The plants will perk back up come fall. 😃
Most beautiful home!
You’re too generous! 🤣😃
Your garden is absolutely lovely. It has given me some ideas on how how I can shape and style my own garden in Florida. I am surprised you get to water three times a week with all of the water worries in California. We have not been allowed to water our lawns, wash our cars, clean driveways, or use water for any other outside use for more than 2 days a week in my county, for about 20 years now. We do, however, get a lot of rain here which helps on those off days.
Thank you 😃. The last time it rained here was March 28th. Today our temp is 108. That’s so nice you receive rain. I’m so glad you picked up a few ideas.
No rain! Your garden is flourishing with your love and Care 🌿💕
Hopefully we’ll get some rain this fall. Thank you for the generous compliment.
Hi🌺wonderful tour in your beautiful garden . I love your hydrangeas they looks amazing also the zinnias . You can plant mandevilla it loves sunshine and heat also in semi shaded area you can put them under the tree . Have anice day . 🦋🌺🦋
Thank you for the suggestion. I’ve not planted mandevilla before. 😃
Very nice so beautiful
Thank you 😃
I actually really love your use of landscaping stones in and around your flowerbeds. Beautifully placed alongside your charming garden. Good vibes from Houston ✌️
Thank you. I know it’s probably hard to tell. They are so large we had a crane place them. Houston…. y’all get a little hot too?! ☀️👋
@@birdhousegarden the heat index has regularly been around 105 this summer 🥲
Beautiful and serene entry way. Thank you for sharing your passion of gardening 🧑🌾
Thank you 😊
I think our growing climates are similar, except we have heat and humidity. So try Pentas . We love ‘em here with our zinnias, purslane, melapodium, vinca, salvia. They all have long lasting vibrant color as well and don’t need lots of water at all. Beautiful spirit you have and the hair, love it!
Yes, I believe we do have a similar growing climate. I’ve used most of those that you suggested and I love how they perform. I bought pentas last year and it was doing well until our dog slept on it. 🤦♀️😊
Beautiful.... Hope you get rain soon.
I hope so as well. Thank you for watching.
Your front yard garden is beautiful, walking by everyday would be such a pleasure. Part shade and sun is a plus. My front doesn’t have much shade. So majority of my plants and flowers have to be sun loving…sunpatiens and canna lilies . I have zinnias all around. Oh my no rain in a long long time, that’s just awful. Hope you all get some rain soon and frequently. I’m in Ga zone 8A, it’s so hot it rains often but right now I wish it would rain daily. I have a German shepherd named Bella . I hope no one is poisoning the little critters. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us.😊🌸
I hope not either. I was sad seeing the little guy in my flowerbed. I just wanted to give him the space and peace to pass. Aren’t German shepherds special?! He has to be near us at all times. 🥰 I have family in the south. My husband is retiring soon and we’re hoping to travel through there. Thank you so much for watching! 😃
@@birdhousegarden Yes they are…Bella loves to stay close and cuddle 🥰 I love the south, when you all do travel this way…you will enjoy. 😊
You have beautiful garden. Thank for the tour!
Thank you for watching! 😃
My plumbago here in Zone 9B stay compact with beautiful autumn blooms BUT I have to slow down on the fertilizer and cut way back in late winter. Same with the salvia. One spring fertilization and again in early August. Try that and good luck.
Thank you for the suggestion.😊 The plumbago is doing much better this season.
We have not had a nice rain in a good month.
Hopefully we’ll get some when Autumn arrives.
It was so hot here in Stockton CA my dog would not go outside!
We’re definitely having a lot of consecutive hot days.
I have some petunia seeds I am not certain I started them yet!
Maybe you can direct sow them?🌸
Your leggy shrub might be stretching for sun. 🤷♀️
Thank you so much for the advice. Now that I think about it, that area close to the ranch fencing has become more shaded. 🤦♀️ I will move them when the weather cools off. 😊
Fountain grass and David Austin Roses , love them both together. ❤
Love your taste in flowers , plants 🪴.
Can’t believe your water guidelines, I’m shocked 😳. Did you have a neighbour who reported you .?
Thank you 😊 No, I wasn’t reported. A few years back the city installed smart meters. Now they’re able to monitor water use from all residents 24/7. The temp’s are beginning to fall and the plants aren’t so stressed. 🍂
