SCP-92942 seems to be a boy in a grim reaper costume. When looked at its face, a memetic hazard will occur where the person sees something so horryfying it traumatizes them for the rest of their life. Everybody who has looked at its face cannot describe what they say. They simply say quotes like "I dont know" or "it was horrible" in a scared voice. It will focus on one house and go to the door and say "Trick or treat" every night. If the person inside does not respond for a few days, it will break in the house. Then it will [REDACTED]. If the person is still in the house, it will [REDACTED] them.

Due to this incident, SCP-92942 was classified as keter instead of euclid, and proper containment procedures were changed. In this incident, SCP-92942 realised he was in a fake neighborhood on halloween and broke through the walls of the fake neighborhood easily. 12 people were [REDACTED] by SCP-92942 before it was captured again.
Fact: the word “trick or treat” was a word used by delinquents back in the day. They would say “trick or treat” by telling the house owner. “Give us a treat or we will vandalize your property.” For the house owners to not get their properties vandalized, they give the children an offer to prevent them from vandalizing. The reason why Lara and the Taxi driver was terrified because there might be some kind of effect or imagination that causes them to go panic, giving the fact that they might seriously think that it was the Grim Reaper itself. We can't just call it a simple prank, that makes the story is a little disturbing

The way I take it is that the Trick or Treater is targeting the protagonist somehow and taking on a fake form to get to him somehow, and thus nobody else can see its disguise and just sees it for whatever it actually is.

What's strange about this is that the taxi driver saw the creature through the car window and he was severely traumatized.
While the main character saw the creature multiple times through the peephole and still remained unaffected.
From that we can assume that the monster didn't want him to be afraid... Which is not good.

Forgot how much I loved this creepypasta. It isn't some cliche fest with a big send off like "and then it turns out Laura was a cultist who chose me yo be sacraficed to satan", it's a horrific anomaly that's vauge enough for our imagination to run wild. We don't even really know the intention of the monster, and that's what freaks me out.

1. The fact that we don’t actually see anything makes us draw our own conclusions.
I like the thought that we weren’t meant to see it because we wouldn’t even be able to comprehend it. Almost like in the call of Cthulhu when people saw Cthulhu they were driven mad.

I wont lie Lara's intense expressions of fear was a little jank-looking, but everything else was astonishingly high quality, that is like the only criticism I gan give but I know it seems more like a constraint of the ragdolls. This was a fantastic story, and I would love to hear what you guys think people were seeing. My interpretation is that they saw either a floating cloaking with nothing in it since I heard one of them say "nothing," or they could see whatever thing was talking behind it that the main character can't see
Bro this reminds of a dream I had were it was similar to this but it took place at my childhood house, and it felt like a loop. In it it was me and my mom each time when we looked at the figure we jumped back in fear. Then it end when I went to my bedroom to try to get a better look.
If you can remember, What did the thing look like? Was it some garbled mushy mess with eyes on every surface and guts hanging out of its pores?

My theory is that that the girlfriend and taxi saw the 'kid' true form,and were traumatized by it.

What I got from this was, the trick or treater is some eldritch abomination like Cthulhu where if you gaze upon it's true form you go mad. Everyone else could see through the fake image and got traumatized, the reason why the main character wasn't scared and never went mad was because the monster was putting up an act to make him open the door (as he wouldn't open it if he was able to see what it was) before the main character got home in the taxi a burglar broke through the basement and starting checking everything to find valuables, hence the money and xbox, etc on the floor. When the main character got home the trick or treater was at the door and knocked, they then sped off. The burglar (maybe seeing that there was a kid at the door) opened the door expecting to help the kid, but the kid then killed him (because the monster was trying to get main character to open the door to get killed, but the burglar was mistaken for main character) the trick or treater cleaned up the mess and left to go onto more people.

So I think I figured out why the MC doesn't seem to be as freaked out looking at the thing as everyone else.
Its an Angler Fish and the reaper costume is the lure. For whatever reason the main body is invisible to him but at least partially visible to everyone else. It explains why the voice comes from above and behind it.

Plot twist: the entity is a cognito-hazard. When people see it, it gives them a sense of terror and shock, this effect gets wiped off in a few days and the people who saw its true form gets their memories wiped off.😊
I really enjoyed this SFM! This Creepypasta was really interesting! I was expecting the Trick-or-Treater's face to be revealed. But the fact it wasn't, honestly adds to the story! Also, when the Trick-or-Treater came by the second time, when his girlfriend was over there. When he went to look back at her after opening the door a bit. I honestly kinda thought his girlfriend was going to be missing or something xD
And to answer what I'd do in a situation like that. Well, I'd probably invite it into my house, for a nice Mug of Coffee, or some other drink, in the attempt of making the Trick-or-Treater my friend, in the hopes of it sparing my life. Because I feel like temporarily living in a friend's house, or just leaving the neighborhood entirely wouldn't be an option, since it'd probably just follow me, and continue trying to accomplish whatever goal it has.

My theory of the kid it's that is a ghost that most likely was murdered on that house and he has turn into a vengaful spirit who wants to kill the murderer of the house, but instead of using a weapon or something is that he simply wants people to look at his face until they go crazy, now the girlfriend of the protagonsit? My theory for what the kid actually looks like is: He is a Higher Dimensional Being, Basically instead of being 3D Like us, He is 4D,5D etc. Think about Interstellar, When they travel through the wormhole, Brand hand shakes a 5D Being AKA: They. So my theory about the break in was that a robber broke through the basement window and was indeed going through his stuff , then there was a knock at the door , through the peep hole , he saw the kid opened to tell him to get lost and saw the thing that is apparently behind him , he dropped all the money , laptop and xbox and either ran off or the thing did a little trolling to the robber
Probably not because the main character and the driver saw the thing at the door they would have seen the robber open the door

I think what happened is at the end a Robert did actually break into his house he was in the process of looking over the whole place trying to find something good to steal completely trashing the place then the demonic creature set its signature "trick or treat" the Rober seemed confused what the hell was a kid doing it wasn't Halloween and even if it was why would they go to a house that has no signs of Life no car in the driveway no lights on nothing it then got more aggressive with the robber getting more scared he possibly opened the drawer filled with money maybe even tried taking out the door itself all to no avail the creature and the robber was never seen or heard from ever again the window breaking in the basement was from the robber getting in the house the door being busted open that was from the creature

I really enjoy this voice actor, they hace this scared/paranoid tone to there voice and it really makes the short film scary
i don’t know if there’s any connection but i love the player model you used for the detective. it reminds me of the detective nigbone series
